4. Yasawa Islands
A thin slither of 20 islands in the Pacific Ocean, the Yasawa Islands are protected by banks of coral reef.
A water-lovers dream, the Yasawa Islands offers mesmerising snorkelling experiences with coral gardens and hidden caves to explore. Unlike other islands mentioned here, the Yasawa Islands have heaps of accommodation options that provide bule traditional housing just off the beach as well as exclusive luxury resorts.
This Fiji island holiday takes you to two locations, Yanuca Island, just off of Fiji’s main island and the Yasawa Islands. Mixing relaxation with adventure, this trip is perfect for active couples, individuals and families.
On Yanuca Island, you’ll go on a riverboat safari and a zipline tour while still having time to relax on the beach before you take your seaplane to Yasawa – a memorable Fiji experience in itself!
Once on in the Yasawa Islands, you’ll have four beautiful days to relax and enjoy island life. Whether you want to chill by the pool, go snorkelling, hiking or want to tap into island culture; your exclusive island resort has everything at their fingertips, ready to make your trip one to remember.
This 9-day Coral Coast and Yasawa Island trip is open for you to do things as and when you see fit. If you wish to have a more active trip, you can chat with one of our Local Designers to make it happen.
5. Viti Levu
The largest of Fiji’s islands, the name Viti Levu translates to mean ‘Great Fiji’ the perfect way to explain this island; the main island of Fiji, where the capital is located. Home to dozens of white-sand beaches and mountain ranges, Viti Levu is a hive of activity. Home to 70% of the population of Fiji, this is also the best place to experience the Fijian culture.
While this trip makes Yanuca Island the base for your activities, you are offered a taste of what a holiday on Fiji’s mainland is all about with the chance to visit the impressive sand dunes of Sigatoka National Park; a vast desert plain that stretches across 450 hectares.
You can also visit Kula Adventure Park, where theme park activities are put into the jungle for an all-round more natural experience as part of your Coral Coast tour, the title for a stretch of land that goes from Sigatoka to Suva, the capital.
To finish the 5-day Coral Coast tour, you’ll explore its depths with your choice of water sport activity. Whether you are itching to try stand-up paddleboarding, want to go snorkelling or would prefer to relax on a glass-bottom boat, there is an option to suit you.
