Rise early this morning to drive to Port Denarau for 8 am. The drive will take you around an hour and 15 minutes, so leave enough time to get there! South Sea Cruises leaves Denarau Marina twice each day at 9.15 am and 3.00 pm. This 90-minute scenic journey aboard a luxury catamaran is a stylish start to your island experience. A magnificent day on the water! This full-day cruise includes a Fijian village visit on Yanuya Island and time ashore Monuriki Island where Tom Hanks' movie 'Cast Away' was filmed. Board our Seaspray adventure for a day exploring the crystal clear waters, beautiful beaches and lagoons of the Mamanuca Islands. This 15-metre yacht offers a stable and comfortable cruise. After Modriki, we head to Yanuya Island to visit a traditional Fijian island village.

An early start takes you back to Port Denarau in time for your early flight to Taveuni Island. From the airport, you head to Qamea's port, where you'll get your private boat to the island just ten minutes away. Once the boat has reached the island you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff who will organise your check-in and from there you’ll be escorted to your bure and your vacation will begin! A little off the well-worn path, Qamea’s location and the landscape are beautifully unique.

Your day is free for you to relax and enjoy. Although, if adventure is what you are looking for, you'll love exploring Bouma National Heritage Park. The trail to the first waterfall is relatively flat, sitting adjacent to a scenic river enshrouded with tropical foliage and flowers. The journey to the next two waterfalls will take you on a moderate climb of 100 feet (with stairs and railings where needed). Swimming in the tropical pools under any of the waterfalls is a pleasure enjoyed by all.

Explore the island by taking to the turquoise waters on a kayak. Alternatively, you could dip below the surface and get up-close and personal with the fish by snorkelling in the marine sanctuary reef.
