Explore the best of Italy by covering all of Italy's must-see destinations in just 11 days. Beginning in the floating city of Venice, you'll explore the wonders of the top cities to visit in Italy, including the smallest in the world and a city that was covered in ash for centuries!

You'll spend a day exploring the wonders of Pisa and Lucca from Florence, before heading off to Rome. In the 'eternal city', you'll explore the Vatican Museums home to an astonishing collection of artwork and then explore the iconic sights of the city with a local guide.

Moving onto Naples, you'll uncover this marvellous city and the street that cuts it in half. When travelling to Paestum, your final stop on this Italian journey, you'll visit the mighty Mount Vesuvius and the archaeological site of Pompeii.

Your last days will see you relaxing on the sandy beaches of Paestum and exploring its archaeological sites.

Your trip to Italy starts today with one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, Venice! Arrive at the train station and hop on a boat taxi to reach your centrally located accommodation. After checking in, you can enjoy the rest of the day to soak up the atmosphere of the "floating city". There is so much to see and do in Venice, you'll be spoilt for choice but don't forget to sit somewhere with a drink and take in the city as it passes you by.

This morning, you'll leave Florence behind and travel to Rome by train. After checking into your hotel, you'll head out on a guided tour of the smallest city in the world, the Vatican City. Today, you'll discover the majesty of the Colosseum, the most famous symbol of the eternal city, as well as several other monuments. Beginning at the Colosseum with your local guide, you'll explore the largest amphitheatre ever to be built. You'll then have a break for lunch before visiting the Trevi Fountain, the largest Baroque fountain in the city and the most beautiful one in the world. Afterwards, you'll continue to Piazza di Spagna and the magnificent Pantheon, a symbol of Rome.

Today, you'll travel from Rome to Naples by train. Naples is a city famous for pizza, football, history and for Spaccanapoli - the street that cuts the historical centre in two halves. All around this red line, so many important monuments were built, the Monastery of Santa Chiara, the Chapel of San Severo where the Cristo Velato is kept and the Church of Gesù Nuovo. Walking up and down the streets that cross the historical centre is like reading the history of the city.

Today, you will travel from Naples to Paestum with stops along the way at Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. With its 1,281-metre altitude, Mount Vesuvius dominates the Gulf of Naples. The climb of the crater will take you to the edges of the crater. You'll then move on to visit the Pompeii Archeological Park, which dates back over 2,000 years. The city dominated the valley around the Sarno River and was home to a population of Etruscans, Greeks and other Italic people before it was buried.

This morning, you'll have the option to visit the Paestum Archaeological Site which was built in 600 BC to honour Poseidon. The three Greek temples dedicated to Athena, Hera and Poseidon are only a part of the city that can still be visited. The walls, the amphitheatre and the Agora complete this incredible site where history and nature are so perfectly combined. In the afternoon, you can relax at one of Paestum's beautiful sandy beaches and enjoy your final evening of the trip.
