Today you will embark on a full-day tour of this coastal town. You'll visit the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church and the Santa Cruz Basilica. While driving along the coastline, you'll be able to see the famous Chinese fishing nets, which were introduced by the Chinese traders in the 14th century. The tour ends in the Fort Kochi area where you can walk through the historical Dutch and Portuguese buildings. In the evening watch a traditional Kathakali dance show.

After breakfast this morning, check-out from your hotel in Kochi and travel by road to the hill station of Munnar, an idyllic haven of crisp mountain air and tea. The journey will take around four hours, and once you arrive and check in to your hotel, you'll have the afternoon free to do some exploring. Munnar is famed for its lush green hills and beautiful mountainous landscapes.

Today take an excursion to Eravikulam National Park. Located along the Western Ghats, the park has the largest viable population of the Nilgiri Tahr, a specific type of goat endemic to the area. The park also has other animals such as ruddy mongoose, small-clawed otters, dusky striped squirrels, Sambar Deer and Golden Jackals. There are many species of birds in the park too, making it a wildlife haven!

After breakfast today you will make the 3-hour drive to Thekkady. This will be one of the highlights of your tour, as you will pass through cardamom hills, towering valleys and lush green hills. The Periyar forest of Thekkady is one of the finest wildlife reserves in India, and spread across the entire district are picturesque plantations and hill towns that hold great opportunities for treks and mountain walks.

Today you will visit Periyar National Park, which is one of 27 tiger reserves in India and holds great scenic charm and rich biodiversity. Periyar is a repository of rare, endemic and endangered flora and fauna and forms the major watershed of two important rivers of Kerala. While visiting the park you will get the chance to enjoy a gorgeous boat ride, for a unique perspective of the surroundings. In the evening, enjoy a Kalaripayattu performance, a martial art originated in South India.

This morning you will make the four-hour drive to Alleppey and check in to your antique houseboat. Your houseboat will carry you slowly down palm-hung waterways, past backwater settlements of thatched and tiled cottages, bright with cartons and hibiscus. You set your own pace: stopping where you like, resting when you like, and indulging yourself with the freshest of foods bought from the farmers and fishermen on the banks of the backwaters.

Early this morning you will experience the panoramic view of sunrise from your houseboat. After breakfast, you will disembark your houseboat and make the drive to Kovalam, a journey that takes around four hours. Once you have checked into your hotel, you'll have the afternoon free to explore the idyllic coastal town of Kovalam at your leisure.

Today you will enjoy a full-day tour of Kovalam, exploring the city's major sights. Start by visiting the 260-year old Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, with intricately carved pillars. Next, move on to the Napier Museum, which houses a collection of archaeological and historic artefacts. Finally, you'll get to observe works by renowned Indian painters at the Chitralayam Art Gallery.

This is the last full day on your Kerala tour package, and you are free to spend it exactly as you wish! You can spend some time exploring Kovalam in your own time, perhaps visiting some of the sights you didn't visit yesterday. Alternatively, you can enjoy some of the golden sand beaches or indulge in a traditional Ayurveda massage at your hotel. The choice is yours!
