Trip Overview

This 11-day Vietnam and Cambodia tour combines the highlights of both countries on a trip that takes you from north to south.

You'll start the adventure with a visit to the historical capital of Hanoi, you'll sail through the amazing Halong Bay, and discover the charming heritage city dressed in yellow and blue, Hoi An. You'll finish your time in central Vietnam with a cooking lesson with an amazing Vietnamese chef and be able to enjoy the fruits of your labour afterwards.

The next part is Ho Chi Minh City. You'll visit Cu Chi Tunnels to get a better understanding of the Vietnam War as well as visit some famous sights in Ho Chi Minh City. The trip continues with a visit to Mekong Delta for cycling and floating markets, a charming insight into rural life along the mighty river.

Lastly, you'll travel to Siem Reap and lose yourself in the gigantic mystery of Angkor Wat of the Khmer Kingdom, hopping from temple to temple and catching a vibrant sunset over the ancient kingdom.

Upon your arrival at Hanoi airport, your private driver will greet you, escort you to your hotel and help you with your check-in at the hotel in the Old Quarter. You have the option to go on a street food tour in the afternoon and visit one of the local markets to see all of the different kinds of foods that are used for a Vietnamese breakfast, lunch or dinner.

After breakfast, you have a full day today to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his personal residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Tran Quoc Pagoda. End the morning with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple nearby Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoy a one-hour cyclo sight-seeing tour around Hanoi Old Quarter for great fun. Then, you'll attend a traditional water puppet show before an evening at leisure.

This morning, you'll embark on a 3.5-hour drive through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. After arriving at Halong City, you will check-in and board your boat. Enjoy a journey in the amazing bay and savour a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard. In the afternoon, you can partake in some activities in the water or just spend some time relaxing.

Start the day with Tai Chi on the top deck of the cruise and after a light breakfast, you will explore some nearby islands by rowboat. You'll return to the boat and take advantage of the sundeck to admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay. After lunch, you'll check out and drive to Hanoi airport for your flight to Da Nang. In Da Nang, you will be greeted and taken to your hotel in Hoi An.

After breakfast, you'll take a visit to My Son, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from the 2nd century to the 16th century. In the afternoon, you'll drive back to Hoi An with a visit to former merchants' homes, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colourful riverside market. Then, you'll enjoy some leisure time in the ancient town.

In the afternoon, you'll drive back to Ho Chi Minh City to visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office which are fine examples of classical French colonial architecture. Continue to the Reunification Palace before finishing the day at the War Remnants Museum and the bustling Ben Thanh Market.

After breakfast, you'll drive to Tan Son Nhat airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Siem Reap airport, you'll transfer to the hotel for check-in and visit the World Wonder of Angkor Wat. You will first visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, and Bayon and Baphoun Temple before continuing to the Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. You'll finish your day with a beautiful sunset from Phnom Bakheng Hill.

Today is the last day of your Vietnam and Cambodia tour. You'll take a short bus ride to Tonle Sap Lake, board a motorboat and enjoy a cruise past a floating village and visiting the local schools in the floating village. Then, you'll head back to the town and enjoy some free time to shop in a local market. Finally, you'll be transferred to Siem Reap International airport for your departure flight.
