Discover the north and south-west of Cambodia on this 12-day adventure trip. This journey offers you a mix of culture, history and relaxation.

On this 12-day Cambodia adventure, you'll start in Siem Reap, the gateway to the ruins of Angkor and the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries.

Here, you'll visit Cambodia's most iconic temples including Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat, and explore further the rich history of Siem Reap visiting top attractions including the Rolous Group, Ta Prohm Temple and Banteay Srei.

Moving on, you'll head to Battambang, a city on the Sangkae River known for the colonial architecture, the riverside setting and the laid-back cafes. After exploring the sights in Battambang, you'll travel to the vibrant bustling capital, Phnom Penh, situated at the confluence of three rivers, the mighty Mekong, the Bassac and the great Tonle Sap.

Finally, you'll finish your trip relaxing and enjoying the beach activities at the coastal town of Sihanoukville, where the water is warm by the Gulf of Thailand and the white-sand stretches as far as the eye can see.

When you arrive at Siem Reap airport, you'll be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Siem Reap is the gateway to the ruins of Angkor, the seat of the Khmer kingdom from the 9th–15th centuries, but there is also a lot more to see in this town. You may want to visit a local market or a local gallery. The Made in Cambodia Market is open daily from midday until the evening and is a good place to buy local products.

Today, after breakfast you'll drive to Battambang which will take around 3 hours. On the way, you'll stop and visit the Angkor Silk Farm where you'll learn about this traditional craft. Battambang is a city in northwestern Cambodia that is known for its colonial architecture teetering into genteel disrepair, its riverside setting and the laid-back cafes. In the afternoon, after checking in to your hotel you'll have some free time to explore before heading out on a city tour.

You'll visit a salted fish factory and drive through some small villages to Wat Kor village where you'll visit one of the wooden houses and learn about the history and traditions. You'll finish the day at Wat Phnom Sampov Mountain with magnificent views over the rice fields of Battambang and watch the bats leaving their caves to spend the night in trees.

Today on your Cambodia adventure, you'll enjoy a fun ride to Phnom Penh. On the way, you'll try making a marble sculpture in Pursat and visit clay pottery workshops. You'll then visit the historical Oudong town, the former royal residence and Cambodia's capital for more than 250 years. You'll then finish the day in peace and tranquillity on a river cruise as the sun sets over the city of Phnom Penh and local villagers come down to the waters' edge to bathe.

Sihanoukville is a coastal city in Cambodia, located at the tip of an elevated peninsula in the country's south-west at the Gulf of Thailand. This morning, you'll drive past the southern end of Ochheuteal Beach, beyond the Phnom Som Nak Sdach (Hill of the King’s Palace) headland, to reach the stunning Otres Beach. Otres has cleaner water and is more relaxed than other beaches in the area. It's the perfect escape for the hustle and bustle. In the afternoon, you can enjoy an optional tour to Koh Rong that is home to sandy coves and coral reefs. Inland, the dense jungle terrain is dotted with coconut palms and waterfalls.
