This city is particularly interesting as it was founded by German immigrants who settled on the shores of the nearby Lake Llanquihue; it's now famous for its German traditions. Surrounded by nature, Puerto Varas is just moments from the mountains, lakes, national parks and forests. A must-visit while in the city is the Sacred Heart of Jesus church which was built in 1918 at one of the highest points of the city.
