After checking in, you'll discover Chile’s capital city that combines colonial buildings with ultramodern architecture. You'll start your Chile vacation downtown on the Alameda, a colourful main avenue with important buildings like the Chilean University, the San Francisco Church, and the Santa Lucia Hill. You'll then tour Plaza de Armas, the central market and end your tour at San Cristóbal Hill.

You will be welcomed at the airport in Calama and driven to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama which is another hour away. Discover the magical tones of the desert, with the imposing Piedras Rojas, the beautiful Chaxa, Miscanti and Miñiques Andean lagoons, and the extensive Atacama Salt Flats in the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Start early at 4.30 am to watch the sunrise at El Tatio Geysers where you'll have breakfast in an amazing setting. In Chiu Chiu, visit Chile’s oldest church built in 1672 with mud and cactus wood. Then visit the Paniri Caur observatory to learn about astronomy and the atacameño cosmovision. In Caspana, visit the ethnographical museum and learn more about Atacama’s history. Board your flight to Temuco in the afternoon and transfer to Pucon.

Then, set off on a rafting trip down the Trancura River’s clear azure waters. Marvel at the spectacular landscapes, old forests, waterfalls, mountains and volcanoes.

Leave Temuco to Budi Lake, South America’s only saltwater lake. In the area, there are 110 Mapuche communities. Mapuche means “people of the Earth”. The community preserve their language, “Mapudungun”, and they live from hunting, fishing, and agriculture. Visit a “ruka”, a traditional house where the community gathers. Learn about their customs, history, and ancestral traditions through food, art, crafts, and music. Then share a meal with the community before returning to Pucon.

You will be picked up at your hotel and start your trip to Valparaíso. The Veramonte vineyard is the largest contiguous in Chile, stretching over 350 hectares in the prime growing area of Chile's Casablanca Valley. After the tour of the winery, you'll taste a selection of wines and learn about the winemaking philosophy with a sense of place. You'll then continue on for your tour of Valparaiso, Viña del Mar and Museo Fonck before arriving at your hotel in Valparaiso.
