After breakfast, you'll drive to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa to begin your Sri Lanka adventure tour. The 11th-century medieval capital was once a thriving commercial and religious centre with many archaeological treasures that still give an idea of how the city looked in its heyday. Later, you'll visit Pidurangala Rock to get a birds-eye view of Sigiriya Lion's Rock as well a 360-degree view of the valley; a great opportunity to take some memorable photographs.

This morning, you'll climb to the top of the Sigiriya Lion's Rock Fortress after breakfast. The climb to the summit takes approximately 60-90 minutes and the terraced top has breathtakingly beautiful panoramic views of the vicinity. Later, you'll go on a jeep safari in the Kaudulla National Park. It is home to 200+ elephants, monkeys, crocodiles and even a handful of leopards. Surrounded by grasslands, it can be visited year-round to see elephants and other great wildlife.

This morning, you'll visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, the largest cave in Sri Lanka, en-route to Kandy. History records that Dambulla was inhabited from as early as the 7th-3rd century BC and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards, you'll visit a spice garden for an introduction to indigenous Ayurveda plants and spices. Later, you'll visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy which is located within the royal complex of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka.

This morning, you'll travel to the Kandy Railway Station to board the scenic train journey to Ella. This epic train journey is known as one of the most beautiful train rides in the world. The train to Kandy will sweep through lush green meadows, old lovely bridges, beautiful tea plantations and picturesque misty mountains. Later, you'll visit the famous Nine Arch Bridge which was built during the British era. You'll also have the chance to experience and exhilarating zip line!

Today, you will visit Udawalawe, one of the biggest National Parks in Sri Lanka and experience a jeep safari to get close to exotic birds and different species of beasts including wild elephants and an occasional leopard. You'll then transfer to Yala National Park later in the day. Lying in the deep down south of the Island, combining a strict nature reserve with a national park, Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species.

This morning, you'll visit Yala National Park, home to the highest density of leopards in the world and the second-largest National Park in Sri Lanka. You will go on a jeep safari at the Yala National Park and get close to exotic birds and different species of beasts including leopards, wild elephants, deer, wild boars, sambars, snakes and crocodiles. Later, you'll proceed to Mirissa, and upon arrival, you'll relax at the hotel or simply relax at the Mirissa Beach.

You'll rise early this morning and go on a whale watching tour to witness the gentle giants of the ocean. The whale watching season is usually from November to April and you can usually see various types of whales, dolphins and sharks in what is regarded as one of the best whale-watching spots in the world. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing by the hotel pool or at Mirissa Beach.

En route, you will stop in and embark on a city tour exploring the Galle Fort, blessed with imposing Dutch-colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums. Wandering its rambling lanes, you'll pass stylish cafes, quirky boutiques and impeccably-restored hotels. Before arriving in Colombo, you can experience the Madu River on a boat ride through lush mangrove forests.
