Explore the highlights of Peru in style, ticking off bucket list adventures on the way. To complete the trip, you'll jet off to the Galapagos Islands for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, sailing the islands for five days aboard a luxury cruise.

Beginning in the capital, you'll fly, travel by train and drive from one amazing destination to another including the Sacred Valley, Cusco, Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo. During your journey from Peru to Galapagos islands, you'll learn about the rich Andean culture, taste delicious Peruvian and visit important historical and archaeological sites.

Your final five days will be spent flying to Quito, exploring the city and then flying to the Galapagos Islands to discover the wonderful flora and fauna of these rich islands aboard a luxury cruise!

Upon arrival to Jorge Chavez International Airport Lima, you'll walk to Costa del Sol Wyndham Airport Hotel. The Costa del Sol Wyndham Hotel is conveniently located just one minute on foot from the international arrivals gate. Using this hotel means that you won’t require a lengthy 40-60 minute transfer to downtown Lima (Miraflores), allowing you more time to relax after your international flight, and meaning you are at the airport for your morning departure the next day.

This morning, you'll head to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you'll be picked up from the airport for your tour of the Pisac ruins which are among Peru’s most intact ancient sites, a perfect example of ingenious Inca architecture. The views of the countryside are spectacular. You'll then head back to your luxury hotel which faces the Andes Mountains and supports the local communities.

This morning, you will leave your hotel in the Sacred Valley for the village of Ollantaytambo, with its impressive and eponymous Inca fortress. you'll tour the ruins for around three hours before heading to the train station for lunch in a delightful Andean restaurant overlooking the archaeological complex. you'll then catch the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).

This morning, you'll head off for a three-hour private tour of the UNESCO-listed Machu Picchu with a local expert guide. You'll visit the Caretakers Hut, Temple of the Sun, the Royal Tomb, Three Windowed Temple, Intihuatana/Solar Clock, and the quarry. After the tour, you'll take the shuttle back to Aguas Calientes where you'll catch the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a private transfer will take you to your Cusco hotel.

You'll have a free morning to relax. In the afternoon, you will explore the city of Cusco, known as the Imperial City and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Here you will start your tour at the iconic San Pedro market, a local market where you can see the colours, flavours and traditions of modern Cusco. The visit continues with Koricancha Temple, the Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo archaeological site and the Plaza de Armas (main square), where you will visit the beautiful Cathedral.

Today, you'll spend the day exploring Santa Cruz Island. First, you'll visit Dragon Hill, one of the newest places to visit in the Galapagos Islands. Here, walking trails will lead you along the beach and to the lagoon lookout where you can spot bright flamingoes, land iguanas and more. You'll then head to Las Bachas, a swimming beach in the north of the island where you can see the remnants of the U.S. World War II presence in the Galapagos, a floating pier.

The island is known for its pristine beaches; renowned diving spots, such as the Devil's Crown; the pink flamingoes and green turtles that nest on Cormorant Point between December and May and the Post Office Bay which offers you the chance to send a postcard home via the 200-year-old post barrel which dates back to 18th-century whaler times.

Today, you'll cruise to Espanola Island, also known as Hood Island, coined by the English after Viscount Samuel Hood. Located in the southeast of the archipelago, Espanola Island is considered one of the oldest islands dating back four million years. The island is renowned for the congregation of the waved albatrosses, blue-footed boobies and Galapagos sea lions. There are many highlights of this island, two of which you'll visit today: Suarez Point and Gardner Bay.
