Travel to Morocco for an enticing combination of ancient cities and Roman ruins, sweeping deserts and centuries-old medinas, mosques and minarets, winding alleyways and vibrant markets, gorgeous beaches and rugged mountains. On this 12-day tour, you'll discover the best of Morocco!

From surfing in the coastal resort town of Oualidia, you'll travel deep into the Atlas Mountains to get a taste of the Berber life, before heading to the famous coastal city of Essaouira and the fun town of Taghazout. You'll then head to southern Morocco’s lush Souss Valley to Taroudant, before heading to the ochre city of Marrakesh for your last night.

You'll spend your days sampling exotic Berber cuisine, sipping on a fresh cup of mint tea at a streetside cafe, hiking the Atlas Mountains, meandering your way through bustling markets and surfing at Morocco's top seaside spots!

Upon arrival, your guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport in Casablanca. After a welcome meeting, you will drive along the coast towards the beautiful village of Oualidia, overlooking an outstanding coastal lagoon, with small villas on the hill and the shore. Upon arrival, you will have a beautiful seafood lunch in an open-air restaurant. The rest of the afternoon will be at leisure to enjoy the beautiful Oualidia beach!

After breakfast, you may want to have a surf lesson, ride the prettiest waves in the region or just enjoy the tranquillity of this lagoon! Later, you will visit an oyster farm and then have lunch at the oyster restaurant so get your taste buds ready for a unique culinary local experience. Oualidia is known for being the oyster capital of Morocco. Oyster farming in Oualidia started shortly after Morocco gained independence in 1956 using Japanese methods.

After breakfast, you’ll depart to the glorious Atlas Mountains and specifically, to the pretty village of Ouirgane. Located about 60 kilometres from Marrakesh, the Ouirgane valley is surrounded by the foothills of the High Atlas and a large artificial lake. Due to the variety and beauty of its landscapes, it is the ideal place for picnic and hiking enthusiasts! You will have time to sit back, relax and enjoy this peaceful area, or even go for a walk by the lake with your tour leader.

Early in the morning, you might want to have a small walk around the Ouirgane village before bidding farewell to the mountains and heading to the charming coastal city and a gem in the Atlantic, Essaouira. Upon arrival in Essaouira, you can choose to relax by the beach, maybe ride a horse or just walk through the narrow streets of Essaouira's Medina which is full of colours and surprises. In the evening, head down to the harbour to enjoy a seafood dinner!

In the afternoon, you will head to the Ranch de Diabat for a horse riding experience. On this two-hour horse ride, you can discover the ancient house of the Black Sultan, the beach of Diabat, the Ile of Mogador with the Portuguese castle, before returning to the ranch across the forest of mimosas and eucalyptus.

Today, you'll hop in the car and venture towards the market town of Taroudant, sometimes called ‘Little Marrakesh’. The journey should take around eight hours in total. This drive goes through desert scenery and along a route that's a reserve for the indigenous argan trees. Argan oil is highly prized for its culinary, cosmetic and medicinal uses and is only produced in Morocco, and is certainly a trademark of Morocco around the world. You'll stay in a beautiful Riad in the heart of Taroudant.

Today, you'll explore the Taroudant region and its amazing rock formations. You will visit the souks during this tour and you will make a stop at la Maison D'artisanat Berbère, a museum and shop dedicated to encouraging local craftsmen and artists. Then, you'll make another stop at the Anmoon Weaving Co-op, a true co-operative where local women make unique ecological rugs and purses. Later on, you will do a hike around the valley crossing stepping stones across a river bed which is often dry.
