Delhi is the capital city of India and it gives a taste of the rich culture and history that defines this country. Agra is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Taj Mahal, which is known to be a symbol of love built by Shah Jahan.

Then there is Jaipur, which is the capital of Rajasthan and is popularly known as the pink city. This city will give you more than just a glimpse of the magnificent forts, and palaces that can be found all over Rajasthan. The blue city of Jodhpur is well-known for its gigantic forts and palaces showcasing Rajput architecture. Whereas, Udaipur, famously called the city of lakes or the "Venice of the East", is where the artificial freshwater Pichola Lake resides.

Day 2

After breakfast, you will go out sightseeing. Begin with Old Delhi, where you will visit the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India; Chandni Chowk, the oldest markets in Delhi. Take a rickshaw ride to the Red Fort, from here you will go to Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. Have lunch and then go to New Delhi to visit Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, the President’s House and Parliament Street. Lastly, visit Qutub Minar, a 240-feet tall minaret with an amazing mix of architecture.

Delhi to Agra

After breakfast, drive to Agra. This city is special because it is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Taj Mahal, and Agra Fort. Check into the hotel and go sightseeing, starting with the Agra Fort, which is a much better-preserved version of the Red Fort in Delhi; made of red sandstone and white marble. Then visit Taj Mahal at sunset, the best time to witness this magnificent monument. It was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his loving wife, Mumtaz.

After breakfast, take a jeep up to Amer Fort. Built in the 16th century, Amer Fort sit on the Aravalli Hills which bears importance to Indian history. Later, visit the City Palace where the Maharajah resides. Then, visit the Jantar Mantar Observatory, the largest stone observatory in the world. Finish the day driving past the Hawa Mahal to the colourful markets of Jaipur, bapu bazaar. Women will get an opportunity to drape in a saree and men will experience traditional turban tieing.

After breakfast, drive to Bikaner in the middle of the Thar Desert. There is a certain charm to this city; the ancient forts and palaces will enchant you in all their glory. Visit the Junagarh Fort, which is quite a splendid edifice that is responsible for the growth of Bikaner. The architecture of the fort is an accomplishment in itself for the people. It also has a bounteous history that cannot be missed. Enjoy a tuk-tuk ride through abandoned havelis of Ramgarh.

After breakfast, visit the Jaisalmer Fort, almost like a small town with temples, shops, restaurants and houses in the Thar Desert. Sitting at 250 feet, the panoramic view of the city from the fort is absolutely staggering. Visit the Gadisar Lake next to the fort; an oasis in the desert. Then, visit the Jain Temples inside the fort where devotees can be found at this sacred place at any time of the day. Later, visit the famous sand dunes for a camel safari during sunset.

Visit the architectural marvel – Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in Rajasthan. Situated on the top of a hill, there are gigantic walls guarding it. After, visit Jaswant Thada, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh as a memorial for his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II with elaborate carvings. The gardens here are well kept; some call it the Taj Mahal of Marwar. After lunch, go on a jeep safari to Bishnoi Village; a desert experience that shows the glory of rural Rajasthan.

Start with a boat ride on Lake Pichola for an excellent view of the City Palace. Then visit the largest royal complex in Rajasthan itself. It used to serve as the main seat for the Maharajas and today it is filled with pavilions, courtyards, terraces, hanging gardens and a museum that displays the most exquisite pieces of Rajput art. Visit the Saheliyon Ki Bari, originally built for maidens who accompanied the princess at all times. The evening is for you to explore or shop at the local market.
