You will begin your adventure in Rio de Janeiro, immersing yourself in its sun-kissed shores, vibrant nightlife and historic centre.

Then head to Iguazu Falls to experience 80-metre-high waterfalls and rich fauna and flora native to Brazil. Your journey continues towards the largest rainforest on the planet: the Amazon rainforest. This fantastic tour offers you magnificent views of Ipanema Beach and the Atlantic Ocean and Rocinha, the largest favela of Rio. You will begin with a 15-minute walk on the seaside to find the entrance of the Vidigal Favela, where you'll catch a VW van for a ride to the top of the favela. Then, embark on a 45-minute hike through woods to reach the summit of the Two Brothers Peak (660 metres high). On this day you will see a unique side to Rio!

Today is a travel day. You will have the morning free to spend as you wish, either relaxing at your hotel or spending some time at the beach. Then, a driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the Rio de Janeiro airport. Here, catch a short two-hour flight to Iguazu Falls. Once you arrive, a driver will greet you and transfer you to your new hotel, where you will be staying for the next few nights.

Today you will go on an exciting adventure to discover the beauty of Iguazu Falls. First, you'll be transferred to the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls, where you'll board a train that will take you to the "Devil's Throat", one of the widest and most important waterfalls of Iguazu. After lunch, you will pay a visit to Iguazu National Park that lies on the Brazilian side, where you will see over 180 species of native birds that live here.

This morning you will get a chance to visit the Brazilian side of the mesmerizing Iguazu Falls, which feature 275 waterfalls that reach up to 80 metres high. The Iguazu National Park straddles the border between Brazil and Argentina and is an incredible display of nature. After your visit, a driver will transfer you to the airport where you will catch a 6-hour flight to Manaus, the capital of the state of the Amazonas.

This is your first day in the Amazon forest! Today you will visit the Meeting of the Waters, a unique phenomenon in the world, where the Negro and the Solimões rivers meet but do not mix for more than ten kilometres. Later you will be able to observe all the nocturnal animals that come out in the evening. At night, the silence makes it possible to listen to the different sounds of the forest.

Today go on a full-day tour of the Amazon to explore this incredible natural landscape up close. You will walk in the middle of the jungle accompanied by a specialized guide, where you can appreciate all the beauty and feel the energy of the Amazon rainforest. Then, you will go on a tour on a motorized canoe for piranha fishing, and you will end the day gazing at a magical Amazon sunset.

Canoeing in the Amazon

This is your last day in the forest! You will start by paddling on a canoe on the Amazon river whilst spotting birds and pink dolphins along the way. Next, ride on a motorized canoe to visit the native's house where you can learn about their culture and customs. During the walk to the point chosen for your overnight camp, you will be taught some theoretical survival skills, like how to get water, food and first aid. The overnight stay is in hammocks with mosquito nets.

Today you will be leaving the Amazon. A driver will transfer you to the airport in Manaus where you will catch a flight to Salvador. The journey will take 6-7 hours. Once you arrive in Salvador, a private driver will greet you at the arrival halls and transfer you to your new hotel. You have the rest of the evening to relax and recover from your journey.

Then, head to the lower town, the coastal area of Salvador, where you will visit Senhor do Bonfim's Church and the Mercado Modelo.

Use this free day in Salvador to find out the amazing things in this city! You can visit Praia do Forte, which hosts the Tamar Project, a nonprofit organization that protects sea turtles. In an area of 10,000 square metres, you can see 4 or 5 species of sea turtles in different stages of the life cycle. If your trip takes place between the months of July and October and depending on weather conditions, you can also visit the Humpback Whale Institute.
