Today, we'll visit Kanchanaburi, rich in WWII history. Start at the Hellfire Pass Museum, learning about the hardships endured by prisoners and laborers who built the Death Railway. After lunch, visit Krasae Cave for stunning views of the Kwai River from its wooden bridge. In Kanchanaburi Town, walk the historic Bridge over the River Kwai and take a scenic boat ride. Finally, pay respects at the Don Rak War Cemetery, honoring those who lost their lives building the railway.

Following a hearty breakfast, we'll journey to Ayutthaya, the historic city that served as the second Siamese capital from 1350. Uncover the rich tapestry of Thailand's past through a visit to Wat Chaiwatthanaram, Wat Ratchaburana, Wat Phra Si Sanphet, and the iconic Wat Mahathat, known for its Buddha statue entwined in the roots of a Banyan tree.

En route, we'll also visit the Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, a site cherished by Thai kings since the 17th century as a summer retreat.

Begin the day by exploring Wat Phutthaisawan, situated just beyond Ayutthaya. This riverside temple, inhabited by monks, houses a colossal reclining Buddha and Sukhothai-style Buddha images.

Next, we'll journey north to Lopburi for a visit to Phra Prang Sam Yot, a 13th-century Khmer-style temple, also known as the Monkey Temple. Interact with the playful long-tailed macaques that call this temple home.

In the early evening, we'll reach Sukhothai, where you can check into your hotel and unwind.

Today, we'll delve into the UNESCO-listed Sukhothai Historical Park, a cultural gem akin to Ayutthaya. Explore the ancient remains of royal palaces and exquisite temple ruins within the old walls, offering a window into the glory of the Sukhothai Kingdom.

Located 55 km north, the Sri Satchanalai Historical Park, while smaller and less frequented, mirrors Sukhothai's charm. Enjoy the historical ambiance and capture the ruins without the crowds.

In the evening, we'll arrive in Lampang for a well-deserved rest.

Lampang, a key city of the Lanna Kingdom, preserves its Lanna heritage through well-maintained structures. Before heading to Chiang Rai, we'll explore three remarkable sites. Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, an exquisite wooden Lanna temple, showcases the region's architectural beauty and is the oldest standing wooden structure in Thailand.

Next, Baan Sao Nuk, a collection of Lanna-Burmese wooden houses, offers insight into the lifestyle of northern inhabitants in times past. Finally, Wat Phra Kaeo Don Tao, Lampang's principal Buddhist temple, blends Lanna, Shan, and Burmese architectural styles.

Today, we explore the unique character of Chiang Rai, known for its distinct Lanna culture and the famed Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar converge.

At Mae Sai Border, consider a brief exploration into Myanmar (additional fees apply). From the Golden Triangle's apex, you'll gaze upon Laos and Myanmar on either side. Visit the Long Neck Karen Village to meet women adorned with neck rings. Marvel at the White Temple, a fusion of traditional Thai elements and contemporary design. Later, we'll proceed to Chiang Mai for the night.
