Beginning in Luang Prabang, you'll explore the city on the traditional mode of transport, tuk-tuk, before heading off to Kuang Si Waterfalls and Pak Ou Caves. Moving on, Vang Vieng is up next where the outdoor enthusiast in you will come to life with a series of kayaking, boating and trekking tours that are essential when you visit Laos!

Moving on, you'll find yourself in the cultural capital, Vientiane where you'll tour the famous Buddha Park and the many temples in the city before flying to Pakse to explore the 4,000 Islands!

The tuk-tuk is one of the most popular means of transportation when you visit Laos and the perfect vehicle for an open-air tour through Luang Prabang. You will visit the temples of Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Xieng Thong, Wat Mai and Wat Phra Buddabhat, as well as the National Museum and finally, you'll climb Phou Si Mountain. The view of the city and the confluence of Nam Khan and Mekong is simply magnificent and is the perfect way to end your city tour.

Today you will drive to Kuang Si Waterfall, one of the most famous waterfalls in Laos. Once you arrive at the waterfall, you can take a dip in the pools. Afterwards, you can explore the Kuang Si Conservation Area, where bears live in a protected environment. Back in Luang Prabang, you'll board a traditional longboat and drive upstream on the Mekong River to the cave temple, Pak Ou. On the way back you'll stop in some traditional Laotian villages: Ban Xanghai, Ban Xang Khong and Ban Xienglek.

This morning, you'll leave Luang Prabang and drive to the small town of Vang Vieng. This city is known for its untouched nature and is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. On the way, you'll visit the village of Ban Nadao. Here, you'll enjoy a rural walk through lush green rice fields surrounded by towering mountains, providing a great backdrop for a photo. Upon arrival in Vang Vieng, you'll have the rest of the day free to explore.

Today, prepare to get sporty around Vang Vieng! First, you will be taken by car to the river. From here, you'll go down the river by kayak. Busy paddling will take you to an interesting cave, which will be explored together. After a picnic, you will continue to a bio-farm and then by boat to another cave. Afterwards, you'll paddle back to Vang Vieng.

Today, the day is at your free disposal to explore Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng was once a small village, then tourism found its way and the small village turned into a bustling backpacker town. Vang Vieng is surrounded by some of the most spectacular scenery in Southeast Asia; you'll never grow tired of its limestone karst mountains that protrude out from the flat plains before the mountain ranges. You can spend the day tubing, exploring waterfalls or head out to the surrounding villages!

The rest of the afternoon is at your free disposal in the quiet capital. You could take a walk along the Mekong River to explore the night market and admire the sunset over the water.

Today, you'll visit the most important sights of the city: Wat Sisaket, where thousands of Buddha statues are kept and the former royal temple Wat Prakeo, which once housed the Jade Buddha. On the way to the gold-covered symbol of the city, That Luang, you'll stop at the victory monument, Phatuxay. Finally, you'll drive to the outskirts of the city and walk through the extensive Buddha Park, which is known as one of the highlights of the city, home to 200 Buddhist and Hindu figures of all sizes.

Today, you'll head to the airport after breakfast. From Pakse Airport, the journey continues through the south; you'll drive to the nearby city of Champasak and visit the destroyed Khmer temple complex, Wat Phou. In 2001, the complex was declared UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Afterwards, you'll continue through a beautiful landscape to Khong Island, one of the larger of the Si Pan Don island landscape, which is characterised by 4000 islands. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Today, you'll explore the island landscape of the 4,000 islands by boat and on foot. Here, the Mekong is widest - during the rainy season it can reach a width of up to 12 kilometres. If the water rises, some islands disappear. This phenomenon has also given the area its name. On arrival in Don Khong, you will visit the Liphi Falls, where you will also see the old locomotive, a railroad line and a colonial bridge built by the French.

If you're looking for more adventure, you can explore the rapids and waterfalls that protect this area and its ecosystem and enjoy the most spectacular sunsets!

Today you will cross the Mekong River over a bridge and drive to the beautiful Khone Phapheng Rapids (Mekong Falls). Khone Phapheng is the widest waterfall on earth and the largest waterfall in Asia.
