You'll journey to Punta del Este today, stopping in Pueblo Eden for an olive oil tasting. Pueblo Eden is a quiet little town between the coast and the Uruguay countryside, about 50 kilometres from Punta del Este. This area is known as the Olive Oil Route as it defines the perfect terrain through the hills and proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Upon arrival in Pueblo Eden, you'll explore the town with a local host then head to an olive plantation for a tasting before continuing to Punta del Este.

You'll pass through the residential areas of Cantegril, San Rafael, Parque Golf and La Barra de Maldonado, known for its unique hanging bridges. After a stop at Ralli Museum of Contemporary Art, you'll continue past Punta’s natural wonders – its beaches. Today you'll drive from Punta del Este to the bus terminal of Cabo Polonio where you'll board a special vehicle to take you through the dunes to the village of Cabo Polonio. Cabo Polonio is a National Park near Valizas, one of the seaside resorts on the Atlantic coast of Rocha. It is best known for its large sea lion colony, which can be seen from the coast and the lighthouse. The small village is surrounded by shifting dunes. After discovering Cabo Polonio, you'll head back to Punta del Este.

You'll visit the Almacen de la Capilla (an old country grocery store) located in the small village of Colonia Estrella and surrounded by quiet and natural countryside. The Almacen belongs to the organic winery called Bodega Cordano founded by Italian immigrants, the Cordano family, in 1855. You'll enjoy a wine tasting of six wines with a variety of cheese and ham.
