This morning you will discover the Four Major Papal Basilicas of Rome: these extraordinary churches, each house a set of Holy Doors that are opened for each Jubilee Year, inspire pilgrims and tourists from every corner of the world. In the afternoon you will discover Rome with your professional guide starting from Michelangelo’s Campidoglio (Capitoline Hill) where you can look out over the Roman Forum area, then continue to the Imperial Forums and the ruins of the Colosseum.

Discover the beauties of Rome by Vespa or Fiat 500, like the ‘50 Dolce Vita along the main roads of Rome. In the afternoon, you'll head out on a guided tour of the largest and most important Catacomb of St. Callixtus, situated along the Appian way after the Church of Quo Vadis. Tens of martyrs, sixteen pontiffs and many Christians were buried in the cemetery and it became the official cemetery of the Church of Rome.

Upon arriving in Naples, you'll visit one of the most interesting and historically important sites in Italy. Rione Terra reflects the ancient part of Pozzuoli and includes untouched old streets, buildings and houses, which have not changed for hundreds of years. You'll then visit Solfatara of Pozzuoli, one of the most active volcanoes in the Campi Flegrei area and also one of the most dangerous in the world.

Today you will visit the Vesuvius Observatory. Founded in 1841 by King Ferdinand II of Bourbon, the Vesuvius Observatory is the oldest volcanological observatory in the world. Before reaching Amalfi Coast, you will stop in Herculaneum for a guided visit of the excavation. Herculaneum is a wealthier town than Pompeii, possessing an extraordinary density of fine houses and far more lavish use of coloured marble cladding. In the afternoon, you'll arrive in Positano.

This morning your personal driver will take you on a full day tour around the Amalfi Coast. You'll drive along the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Amalfi Coast on 'state route 163' – a masterpiece of human engineering. In the afternoon, you'll have the option to take part in a couple of optional tours, one being a limoncello and mozzarella factory visit and tasting, and the other being a hike along Gods' Pathway, a charming guided trail with magnificent views of the Amalfi Coast and Capri.

This morning your personal driver will take you to Naples airport to catch your flight to Catania. On the way there, you will stop in Pompeii for a guided walking tour of the archaeological site as your guide recounts the historical facts of this important city destroyed and buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in the morning of August 24th 79 AD. At the end of the visit, your driver will take you to Naples airport where you'll take a short flight to Catania.

Today, you'll enjoy a walking tour of the Valley of the Temples, one of the most outstanding sites of the ancient world. A string of imposing temples stands on a ridge facing the sea designed both to be visible to sailors and to signify that the gods protected the sacred city from danger. Continue your 15 day Italy itinerary in Taormina, where you will visit Villa Romana, well known for its splendid mosaic 63 room villa. This morning your personal driver will pick you in a jeep up at the hotel to take you to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. At 1,800 metres, you will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea during your 4x4 jeep adventure. You'll then enjoy a lunch stop in a typical Agriturismo to taste local wine and food. In the afternoon, you'll take a helicopter ride over Mount Etna to get a unique perspective on this mighty volcano.

Today, you will reach Milazzo where you will travel to Stromboli Island by ferry. Upon arrival at Stromboli Island, the hotel shuttle will take you to the hotel to check in. In the afternoon, you'll visit the INGV Center, a small museum containing information on the activity of the Aeolian and Stromboli volcanos. In the evening, dinner will be served at The Observatory, at the base of the volcano, where are able to see the volcano’s night activity.

This morning, you'll climb to the Sciara del Fuoco to watch the volcanic activity. In the late afternoon, you will take a boat trip around the island of Stromboli to admire the sunset and the volcanic eruption. The first stop is Strombolicchio, made up of lava pebbles. Then to Ficogrande, known for its volcanic pebbles, black beach and the blue of its water. The Stromboli boat trip then continues towards the Sciara del Fuoco, where you can admire the natural spectacle of the erupting volcano.

Today you will head to Stromboli pier where you will travel by ferry boat to Lipari Island. Upon arrival, the hotel shuttle will wait for you to take to the hotel. You will visit the Lipari Archaeological Museum complex, located on the enormous rhyolitic rock of the "Castello" (Castle) of Lipari, an imposing dome of volcanic formation with characteristics of natural defence, where its inhabitants settled during all periods whenever they felt the need for defence.

Embark on a full-day tour of Lipari first visiting Canneto, looking over the sea and islands. You'll then continue the journey climbing higher with views of spectacular cliffs, coves and the island of Salina. After a swim in the crystal clear sea of Porticello, you'll continue the road down to the charming village of Acquacalda, stretched on the pebble beach. After a long lunch of Aeolian fresh fish, you'll return to Marina Corta for a drink in front of the sea.
