Welcome to Lima!

Welcome to Lima!

You will meet your guide and transferred to the hotel after arrival. While Peru’s capital was officially established in 1535, founded by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, settlements had been scattered through the valley since before the Incas. Lima was built on top of the palaces and temples of the local chiefs, who had little choice but to move on. Lima was in its prime during the Spanish colonial days and much of the city’s attraction now lies in its well-preserved historical centre.
