This morning, you'll venture out on a tour of some of Rome's most iconic sights including famous squares such as Piazza Navona and the famed Trevi Fountain where, if you throw a coin into the fountain, you'll be granted your wish to return to Rome. You'll also visit the Pantheon, an iconic landmark of Rome and of Italy. Then, you'll head out on a guided tour of the Colosseum, the largest amphitheatre ever built.

This morning, you'll enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican Museum and the splendid Sistine Chapel, home of a beautiful ceiling painted by Michelangelo between 1508 and 1512, a masterpiece of High Renaissance art. Then for lunch, you'll learn how to make your own pizza. In the afternoon, you can take a walk in one of the most vibrant areas of Rome, Trastevere, a maze of small streets and squares dotted with bars and restaurants to have a nice break.

Close to Rome, Tivoli is the resort that attracted Romans to build their villas for their rest. On this day you will take a guided tour to visit these villas and learn about their history in shaping Rome today. Founded in 1215 BC, the archaeological complex hosts two famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Hadrian's Villa and Villa d'Este.

After breakfast, take a train to Florence and join a tour of the city in the afternoon. Immerse yourself in Florentine history that dates back two thousand years. Today you will discover the deep artistic background and stunning architecture found amongst Tuscany on a tour that visits Lucca and Pisa. You will visit Pisa first, of course stopping at the famous Leaning Tower and then visiting the majestic Pisa Cathedral. Today you will have an entire day in Florence to explore the city at your leisure. You can start your day at the Boboli Gardens, which are stunning Italian-style grounds and an important landmark in the city. A trip to Florence wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the Gallerie dell'Accademia Florence, hosting a plethora of statues and Renaissance art, including the renowned sculpture of David by Michelangelo. End your day at the Piazzale Michelangelo for panoramic views over the entire city.

This morning you will leave Florence behind as you will drive 1.5 hours to your new destination: Siena. After checking into your hotel here, you will embark on a guided tour of Siena, a city distinguished for its medieval brick buildings. Start in San Domenico Church before heading to the oldest bank in the world, Palazzo del Monte dei Paschi di Siena and the magnificent Duomo di Siena.

Today you will take a day trip from Siena to Chianti, a region famous for its wines and vineyards, and San Gimignano, a stunning medieval city also declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will make a stop at a local winery for some wine-tasting and traditional Tuscan eats, before strolling amongst ancient churches, medieval castles and picturesque villages.

Today is a travel day. You will have a private transfer to Florence, from where you will catch a 2.5-hour train to your next destination: Verona. Nestled in northern Italy's Veneto region, this charming medieval town is home to a large Roman amphitheatre and was the setting for Shakespeare's famous play: "Romeo & Juliet". After checking into your hotel you can go for dinner at any of the local haunts in the city centre.

Today you will have the day free to explore Verona in your own time. One of the most important landmarks in the city is the Verona Arena, where opera performances still continue to this day. Enjoy some shopping on the popular street of Via Mazzini, admire the crystal-clear waters of Lake Garda or visit the Gothic-style 1300s house that inspired Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Today, you'll take a short train from Verona to Venice in the morning. The journey will take around two hours. After checking into your hotel in the afternoon, you will go on a walking food tour in the city of Venice. Here a guide will accompany you to the Bacari of Venice (Venetian wine bars) to taste some delicious local specialities, such as "cicchetti" and traditional Italian wines.

In the morning, you'll take a relaxing Venice boat tour towards the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. Beginning in Murano, you'll learn about the long and thriving tradition dating back to 1291 of glass blowing. You'll then move onto the colourful streets and pastel-coloured houses of Burano, before finishing in Torcello, the centre of the first Venetian civilization founded between the 5th and 6th centuries.

Today, during a guided Venice tour, you'll visit the Doge's Palace and St Mark's Basilica. A palace that has been built and rebuilt many times due to its turbulent past, Doge's Palace is a grand and beautiful building that will be exciting to explore. You'll then head to St. Mark's Basilica, an icon of Venice and a 9th-century church, renowned for its mosaics totalling 8000 square-metres.
