In the late afternoon, you'll depart from Hanoi to Sapa on the night train. Travelling on a sleeper train is a great way to feel like a local. You'll arrive in Lao Cai early morning and be taken for breakfast before you go into Sapa town. You'll check into your hotel, and then go to Cat Cat Village to learn about the hill tribes of the northern part of Vietnam. You'll be transported by minivan back to Sapa to spend the night where you can explore the many restaurants in search of some tasty northern Vietnamese food.

In the morning, you'll arrive in Hanoi and have a quick breakfast before being transferred by minivan to Halong Bay where you'll check-in and have lunch on your cruise. As you cruise around this UNESCO-listed bay, you'll visit Sung Sot Cave and go swimming in the lagoon in the afternoon. You'll watch the sunset with a drink in hand and then have dinner after. You'll have free time in the evening to relax, take part in games on board or have a few cocktails.

You'll wake up early for Tai Chi before having a local breakfast. You'll then visit the floating village and explore it on a kayak. Back on the boat, you'll enjoy a short cooking class before your last lunch onboard the cruise. You'll then arrive back at the mainland and check out of your Halong Bay cruise. You'll be transported by minivan back to the city and spend the night in Hanoi. Tonight, you'll explore the Old Quarter and perhaps try the local BBQ.
