Starting in the capital, Bangkok, you'll travel around old capitals and Kanchanaburi before moving up to Chiang Mai, the old capital. A few days in the north will take you up the tallest mountain in Thailand, to see some retired elephants at a care centre and give you some time to soak up the relaxed pace of Chiang Mai.

Making your way down south, you'll stop briefly in Khao Sok for two nights to wake up early with the gibbons to see the morning mist sitting on the surface of Cheow Lan lake - it's stunning! Finish your Thailand package with a week in Phuket, relaxing by the pool or at the beach!

Today you visit the most important sights of Bangkok. First, head to Wat Timitr, where you find a gold Buddha statue. Then, visit the breathtaking reclining Buddha in Wat Pho and the royal palace, which is highly revered by Thai people. You check out and get ready for the drive to Kanchanaburi. Our first stop will be in Damnoen Saduak. The floating market is a great insight into the life of Thai people. Your tour guide will show you what local specialities to taste at the market. In Kanchanaburi, visit the JEATH War Museum, a realistic depiction of the living quarters of prisoners of war, then you will proceed to Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. In the afternoon, visit the world-famous bridge over the River Kwai.

Your tour guide will pick you up in the lobby. The drive to Ayutthaya takes 3 hours and 30 minutes. You visit Wat Phanancherng, home to the oldest bronze Buddha image in Ayutthaya and admire Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, built in 1357 of King U-Thong. Explore Ayutthaya Historical Park and Wat Phra Mahathat. Its structure became the traditional model for temples nationwide. Then visit Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the most important temple within the royal palace and the original temple of the Emerald Buddha.

This morning, you'll be transferred to the airport to take a domestic flight to Chiang Mai, when you arrive you'll be taken to your hotel in the city. This will take most of the day. You'll be free to explore Chiang Mai when you arrive. The city has a charm like no other place in Thailand; the heart of the ancient Lanna Kingdom in Chiang Mai life goes at a slow pace and traditions are held close to the heart.

Today, visit temples in the old town of Chiang Mai. First, Wat Chiang Man, the oldest temple in the city. Then, we go to Wat Phra Singh where there is Phra Chao Thong Tip, the most revered Buddha statue in northern Thailand. Then we go to Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phantao, a beautiful wooden temple. After lunch, visit Warorot and Ton Lamyai markets. Warorot Market is the centre of Chinatown in Chiang Mai. Finish the day at a Chinese shrine and learn about the Chinese community of Chiang Mai.

Doi Inthanon National Park

Leave early for Doi Inthanon National Park, the highest mountain in Thailand. We will drive to the top of Doi Inthanon, where we visit the two chedis, built for the 60th birthday of the king and queen. Afterwards, visit the Karen village, Ban Mae Klang Luang. On the way, stop at the Hmong market which is part of a Royal Project. Spend some time in the village to learn about growing coffee and try a cup if you like. Return to Chiang Mai stopping at the Vachirathan Waterfall on the way.

This morning we will leave the hotel for the Thai Elephant Care Center, which is the last home for older
elephants. On arrival, you will be briefed on Asian elephants and safety before changing uniform. Afterwards, you will visit the older elephants and get to know them better. After lunch, visit Elephant Poo Poo Paper Park, an environmentally friendly, outdoor museum park where paper is made from elephant dung. Your guide will explain the plight of the Asian elephant.

Early morning, head to the airport for your flight to Phuket. The driver will pick you up and take you to your hotel in Khao Sok. Arrive at Our Jungle Camp and explore the vast property, we highly recommend visiting the Organic Farm or explore the riverbank of the Sok River and nature trails. At 7 pm, you will meet with your guide to go on a night safari in Khao Sok National Park. Try your luck and look out for the world’s smallest deer, a civet cat, insects, and maybe even a slow loris.

Wake up early for breakfast, at 8.30 am, meet at the reception area to transfer to Takun town. En route, stop at a local market. At 10:30 explore the lake by local long-tail boat taking in the scenery of striking white limestone cliffs and emerald green waters. Visit secluded inlets and “Little Guilin” where you can jump from the boat for a swim. Continue to your raft house in time for a 3-course lunch served at the water's edge. In the afternoon, you can choose from a range of activities.

Start the day with an early morning safari (6:30 am) by boat, keep an eye out for dusky langurs, macaques, gibbons or even wild elephants. Morning times are very special; the morning mist and gibbon calls provide a unique serenity. Following breakfast, enjoy the surrounding natural beauty, take a canoe out on the lake, swim or relax. At around 10 am, say goodbye to the raft house and return to Cheow Lan Lake Pier where you transfer to Phuket.

Spend today by the pool with a good book and cocktail taking a break only to swim or nap! To take a break, you may wish to pick up all of these activities and take them to the beach! Phuket is a big island with many natural vistas, today, you could go snorkelling at some of the best spots along the coast. Make sure you come back to your hotel in time for sunset, this is one of the best places in Thailand to catch it!
