After breakfast, you have a full day today to explore Vietnam’s charming capital. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his personal residence, the One Pillar Pagoda, Tran Quoc Pagoda and end the morning with a visit to the Museum of Ethnology. In the afternoon, visit the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple nearby Hoan Kiem Lake, and enjoy a one-hour cyclo sightseeing tour around Hanoi Old Quarter. Then, watch a traditional water puppet show.

After breakfast, you will drive to Sapa from Hanoi which takes around 5 hours. You can stop for a break or take photos en route. After checking in at the hotel, take a rest in Sapa. In the afternoon, visit Thac Tien Waterfall (1.3-kilometre walk) and stop at O Quy Ho pass (Heaven's Gate) to enjoy the beautiful view. Return to Sapa and enjoy some leisure time after.

Today, your beautiful trekking tour will start at your hotel with a short drive out of Sapa town to Y Linh Ho Village. On the way, we can stop to enjoy the panoramic view of Muong Hoa Valley. Start the trekking route to Y Linh Ho village where you will see the stunning view of Muong Hoa Valley and discover the daily life of the Black H'Mong minority and their traditional customs. Continue to Lao Chai Village of Black H'Mong and to Ta Van Village of Giay.

Have breakfast which is prepared by your host. After that, start hiking through the villages of Muong Hoa Valley, and enjoy the view of the largest rice terrace fields in Sapa. Then walk up to the main road where you will return Sapa town by car. Check-in to your hotel in Sapa and stay overnight there.

After early breakfast, depart to the local ethnic markets where you will see people from different hill tribes. The markets in Northern Vietnam are always the colourful meeting places for the hill tribes, a highlight for any Sapa tour. Depending on the day, markets are held in different regions. Have lunch in a local restaurant before driving back to Hanoi for the night.

Set off at 8 am for a 3.5-hour drive through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. Arrive at Halong City, check in and board your junk and enjoy the journey in the amazing bay. Savour a gourmet lunch of fresh seafood onboard as you sail out into the mystical bay. In the afternoon, enjoy some activities in the bay, or just spend some time relaxing. Dinner is served on board.

Wake early and participate in Tai Chi on the top deck or simply relax and enjoy the sunrise over the bay’s towering islands. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee or tea and a light breakfast before setting out to explore nearby islands by rowboat. Return to the junk to take advantage of the sundeck and admire the amazing rock formations of Bai Tu Long Bay. Have lunch on the boat before returning to Halong pier to meet your driver who will take you back to Hanoi.

Enjoy some leisure time in Hanoi before it is time to take the flight to Hue. Your tour guide and driver will escort you to your hotel. Then, visit the Imperial Citadel, home to the Imperial City and Forbidden Purple City – once the Emperor's private residence. The Imperial enclosure houses many palaces and temples within its walls. Later on, absorb the energy, sounds and smells of the bustling Dong Ba Market.

In the morning, you will take a beautiful dragon boat trip along Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the most popular attractions in Hue. In the afternoon, visit Emperor Ming Mang and Khai Dinh tombs which are the most beautiful works of royal architecture of the Nguyen Dynasty. After that, drive to Hoi An - the highlight of any tour to Vietnam - an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port from 15th to the 19th century.

After breakfast, take a visit to My Son Holy Land, once the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom that dominated South East Asia for nearly a thousand years and occupied most of the central parts of Vietnam from 2nd century to 16th century. In the afternoon, drive back to Hoi An and visit the former merchant's homes, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colourful riverside market. Then enjoy some leisure time in the ancient town.

Continue your 18 days in Vietnam. Today you will join a tour to the Cham Islands, a group of beautiful islets that are located on the east coast, a short boat ride from Cua Dai tourist harbour. You have a free day to cycle through rice paddies in the countryside of Hoi An Ancient Town, shop for souvenirs among tailor shops and art galleries, or just sit at sidewalk cafes and soak up the atmosphere of this quaint town. Alternatively, you can relax on the white sandy Cua Dai Beach or join an optional tour of Hoi An.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to Da Nang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, a driver will transfer to your hotel for check-in. In the evening, explore Ho Chi Minh City by night on a vintage Vespa scooter. This is a fun wat to get around the city whilst catching a glimpse of local life.

In the morning, drive outside of Ho Chi Minh City to visit the incredible Cu Chi Tunnels. The Cu Chi Tunnels are an underground labyrinth of passageways, used by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War. In the afternoon, head back to the city for a visit to the Notre-Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office which are fine examples of classical French colonial architecture. After that, you'll finish the day by visiting the War Remnants Museum and the bustling Ben Thanh Market.

Today you will take an excursion to the Mekong Delta, where you will enjoy a boat ride. Stop on the way to visit various craft villages to see how to make rice paper, continue to cruise coconut jungle to visit local coconut workshop to learn how coconut candy and coconut souvenirs are made by hand. Get on a tuk-tuk or take a 3-kilometre bike ride and travel along the narrow shady village roads to visit fruit orchards and enjoy a delicious local lunch at an ancient house.

In the morning, you will embark on a boat cruise to see the Cai Rang floating market, a true highlight of any Vietnam tour. Here you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and see the daily activities of the locals who live along the Mekong canals. Then continue to visit a tropical fruit orchard. You will have lunch on the way going back to Ho Chi Minh City.
