You will be welcomed at the airport, driven to your hotel in Lima and you will then have the rest of your day free to spend as you wish. Lima, also known as the 'City of Kings', was founded in 1535 by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro. Located directly on the Pacific coast, Peru’s capital city is a melting pot of cultures where you will encounter people, flavours and history from different regions. Today, in the historical centre, you'll admire the colourful colonial architecture around the Plaza San Martín and the main square, Plaza de Armas. From here, you'll visit the San Francisco Monastery and discover its underground maze of tunnels and catacombs. End your tour at the Larco Museum and appreciate over 45.000 objects including pre-Columbian ceramics, textiles, gold and silver pieces. Take a guided tour that focuses on women´s roles in ancient Peru.

This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the airport for your flight to Arequipa. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the airport and driven to the hotel. In the afternoon, you'll embark on a city tour of Arequipa admiring the beautiful landscapes, fields and pre-Inca terraces. You'll visit key neighbourhoods in the city, the beautiful historical centre and finally the impressive Santa Catalina Monastery, a 20,000 metre-squared complex known as a 'City within a City'.

Today, you'll enjoy a culinary experience showcasing the local cuisine led by Roger Falcón, son of the owner of some of the most typical Picanterías of Arequipa. The tour begins with a visit of the San Camilo Market with its variety of fruits and vegetables. Here, you will buy the ingredients which you will need later for your cooking class. Then, you'll continue to the restaurant to start the cooking demonstration. The tasting of the prepared dishes is of course included!

You will be picked up at a given time at the hotel and brought to the airport in order to take your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, you'll be welcomed at the airport and taken to your hotel. After checking in, you'll meet your guide and start your walking tour at Plaza de Armas and visit the impressive Renaissance-style cathedral. You'll make your way through small alleys edged with Incan walls until you reach Koricancha, the temple dedicated to the sun, Inti.

Today enjoy a day to explore by yourself or choose to visit Project Mantay or Cusco's Planetarium. Project Mantay is dedicated to teenage mothers (12-18 years) to nuture and lead them to an independent life. You'll take part in one of their workshops and make your own souvenir to contribute to the project. Alternatively, visit the Planetarium Cusco, close to the archaeological site of Saqsayhuaman and surrounded by the ecological reserve of Llaullipata.

Enjoy a meet and greet with a local women football team who play in their traditional clothes. In Chinchero visit the Center for Traditional Textiles of Nilda Callañaupa, an initiative dedicated to the preservation and commercialization of beautiful, high quality textiles. Enjoy a demonstration in the traditional weaving techniques. In Urubamba participate in a ceramic workshop learning about process and phases for the elaboration of traditional Andean ceramics and prepare your own souvenir.

This morning, you'll visit the market of Pisac, well-known amongst inhabitants and tourists. On the bazaar-like open market, you can buy a wide variety of Peruvian handicrafts. Here, you will also take part in an empanada workshop and learn how to prepare the traditional stuffed bread or pastry and enjoy the delicious snack. In the afternoon, you continue to Ollantaytambo. The impressive fortress thrones protectively above the village, the sight is impressive.

Today, you'll go on a tour to the different Inca communities and antique salt mines. First, you'll visit Moray, a Pre-Incan site built with round, agricultural terraces, some of them up to 150 metres deep. Then, you will visit the salt flats of Maras. In Maras, you will also get the chance to live the Andean culture by participating in a traditional cooking class then you'll visit a local house where you will talk with the local people who will teach you how to make ornaments with corn leaves.

This morning, you'll head to the station for your scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. Travelling through the Sacred Valley, you'll pass little villages with the backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Upon arrival, you'll board the shuttle bus to Machu Picchu. You'll learn about its discovery and the different theories on how and why it was built, visiting the main plaza, the Temple of Three Windows, the circular tower, the sacred sundial and the burial grounds.

This morning, you'll have the option to visit Machu Picchu again for a more in-depth experience. Alternatively, you can choose to hike up to Mandor Waterfall. Few people that visit Machu Picchu have the opportunity to visit this unknown nature paradise. In the afternoon, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo from where you will transfer to your hotel in Cusco. Your luggage will be transferred for you.
