You'll drive about seven hours from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park by tourist bus. There will be a tea/breakfast break at Malekhu or nearby restaurants, for 30 minutes. Then, you'll drive straight to Chitwan National Park afterwards. After checking into your jungle camp and having lunch, you'll head to Tharu village to visit the elephant centre. Later on, you can enjoy the sunset view from the Rapti river bank.

Day two of your Chitwan safari starts with an early breakfast and then, you'll take a canoeing trip down the Rapti River with a jungle walk to finish off. You'll watch the morning bath of the elephants and observe these beautiful animals. After lunch, you'll continue exploring the grasslands and the park. In the evening, you'll attend the Tharu Cultural Show which debuts the Stick Dance, Fire Dance and Mayur Nach (Peacock Dance).

The Chitwan National Park area is one of the best places in the world to observe and study various rare bird species. You might spot kingfishers, ospreys, and egrets. In winter, Chitwan National Park becomes home to birds who have flown from as far as Siberia. This morning you'll wake up early for the bird-watching tour and then after breakfast, you'll depart by tourist bus back to Kathmandu.
