Spending three days on a boat exploring the beauty of Komodo's nature on this Komodo Island trip.
Departuring from Labuan Bajo, we set out with park rangers from Loh Buaya on a nature walk to explore one of the two preserved habitats of the world's largest lizard - the Komodo dragon. Weighing up to 350 pounds and with a total length of over 10 feet, these fearsome hunters charge swiftly to bring down a variety of herbivores including deer, pigs, and even wild horses. Their saliva is extremely poisonous: if their bite does not bring an animal down immediately, the prey will later succumb to a fatal infection.
The islands which make up the Komodo National Park feature the exquisite lontar palm, often covered in bright pink vanda orchids, which sprout epiphytically along the trunks of the trees.
We will also make our way through the protected waters of the Komodo National Park to the famous island of Komodo. The destination will be Pantai Merah Kecil, or ‘little red beach’, where we will spend the day. This small shallow bay is home to a spectacular variety of reef fish and corals and is a fantastic snorkelling site.

Komodo Island Trip

Today you embark on you Komodo Island trip! Upon arrival on the island of Flores, you will be transferred to Labuan Bajo harbour. After 1 and a half hours, we reach Loh Buaya. Led by a local ranger you will trek through the forest and savanna, the home of the Komodo dragon. After lunch, you will continue sail on your Komodo island trip. This trip over blue tropical waters and past hundreds of small islands will take approximately 2 hours sailing until you reach Komodo Island.

Kanawa Island and Komodo Island Trip
Close
Visit Komodo island and walk with a local ranger in search of the Komodo dragons. During your visit, you will also see much wildlife and various species of tropical birds. Then move to Pink Beach, where you will discover the splendid underwater world of these rich waters. Move to Kanawa Island for another swimming and snorkelling activity and exploration of this remote paradise.

Today your Komodo Island Trip comes to an end. You can enjoy your last breakfast at the hotel then visit Batu Cermin, the local market and viewpoint if you have time in the morning. You'll then get the boat back to Labuan Bajo pier and on to the airport to depart to your next destination. Thank you for exploring the islands with us!
