All About MONA

After a delicious gourmet breakfast, today is all about exploring Australia's largest private museum with a guide. Often referred to simply at Mona (the Museum of Old and New Art), it is home to one of the most controversial private collections of modern artefacts, art and antiquities in the world. Home to over 1900 items (and counting) in their general collection, Mona is often described by its owner as a "subversive adult Disneyland" and today, you'll find out why.

Mount Wellington Hike & Departure

This morning, you'll enjoy one final gourmet breakfast at Source Restaurant before heading off to explore. Standing over the beautiful city of Hobart at 1,271 metres, Mount Wellington is a great stop on your Tasmania tour, its peak visible across much of southern Tasmania. The hike up to the summit of Mount Wellington, past the dolerite columns known as the ‘Organ Pipes’, takes around 2.5-3 hours. Alternatively, you can spend the day exploring Hobart or the surrounding area before heading home.
