Today, you'll depart from Dar Es Salaam early in the morning and travel to Selous Game Reserve. Your lunch will be served on the way. After checking in at the Selous Mapumziko Lodge, you will enjoy an evening boat safari on the Rufiji River before having dinner. Cruising down the river at a leisurely pace you'll find yourself struggling to look in all directions, as animals hide everywhere, from treetops to waterbed.

Today, you'll have the whole day to spend on safari in the park. Your lunch will be served either at a park picnic site or back at the lodge. The Selous Game Reserve is Africa’s largest protected wildlife reserve, a UN World Heritage Site and a pristine uninhabited area twice the size of Switzerland. It has the world’s largest number of big game – elephant, buffalo and black rhinoceros. It also contains wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, oryx, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard and lion.

Morning Safari Walk & Return to Dar es Salaam

Morning Safari Walk & Return to Dar es Salaam

Today, you'll enjoy a Tanzania safari walk before breakfast. With a bushman, you'll walk across the reserve’s environment to learn various histories, including traditional trees for medicines, various animal footprints, and other small animals which you cannot see during the game drive. You will go back to the camp for breakfast afterwards. After checking out, you will then be transferred back to Dar Es Salaam.
