You will be welcomed at the airport and driven to your hotel in Easter Island. Easter Island is a mystical hidden island off South America’s western coast. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is part of the Polynesian triangle. It is a land filled with authentic “Rapa Nui” culture that is present in ancient relics, exotic dances, language, legends, and typical food.

Day 2

You'll drive up the extinct volcano Rano Kau, appreciating on the way a view over the whole island and its distinct geological features. After taking in the view, you'll drive to the ceremonial village of Orongo, where the birdman competition took place and you can see the spectacular petroglyphs related to this culture. You'll then drive down again to Ahu Vinapu to see the influence of pre-Inca architects in Easter Island culture. The last stop is Ana Kai Tangata cave with its paintings.

Day 3

Discover Easter Island and Anakena Beach

Today, you'll drive to the south coast and visit representative examples of unrestored platforms, Ahus Vaihu in the bay of Hanga Te’e, and Akahanga. You'll proceed to Rano Raraku, a quarry of almost 900 stone statues, 397 of them still lying or standing at the slopes of the extinct volcano with its crater lake. You'll visit Ahu Tongariki, the most recent and biggest restoration on the island. Last but not least, you'll visit the beach of Anakena with its restored Ahus Nau Nau and Ature Huke.

Day 4

This morning, you'll drive to restored Ahu Akivi with 7 Moais, built in the middle of the island. The legend tells us that these statues are representing the 7 explorers who were sent to Rapa Nui by the king Hotu Matua. After visiting Ahu Hanga Poukura, you'll visit Puna Pau with its red scoria stone, where all the Pukaos were made. At the end of your Easter Island trip, visit the ceremonial site Tahai, close to the village of Hanga Roa. You will then be driven to Easter Island airport.
