Your driver will collect you from your hotel to start your South England tour. A short distance away is the Royal Horticultural Society Gardens at Wisley. Nowadays the historic home of the RHS and undoubtedly one of the finest gardens in the world. Petworth House is an extraordinary and surprising ancestral seat created by just one family over 900 years. The park was transformed in the 1750s and early 1760s by
Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. Continue to Amberley House where you'll stay the night.

Arundel Castle and Nymans Gardens

In the morning start the day with a visit to the castle of Arundel, a vast hill-top castle, surrounded by walls built by the Normans. Arundel Castle features a fine collection of paintings, furniture along with the amazing Baron’s Hall. Nymans Gardens is a botany lovers' home for all seasons, with an extensive yet intimate garden, set around a romantic house and partial ruins. The comfortable, yet elegant, house reflects the personalities and stories of the talented Messel family.

Day 3

Hever Castle, Penhurst Place and Chartwell

Today we travel east into Kent, 'the garden of England', arriving first at Hever Castle. Spanning more than 700 years, the history of Hever Castle is rich and varied. Penshurst Place and Gardens and the estate have stood in this historic village since the 14th century; the medieval Baron’s Hall was completed in 1341 as a country retreat for the Lord Mayor of London. You'll finish the day at Chartwell, the much-loved Churchill family home from 1922 before continuing to Sissinghurst.

This morning take a stroll around your accommodation gardens, Sissinghurst Castle Garden was the backdrop for a diverse history, from the astonishing time as a prison in the 1700s to being home to the women’s land army. Then continue to Great Dixter, a historic house, a garden, a centre of education,
and a place of pilgrimage for horticulturists from across the world before you continue your journey back to London.
