Explore Salvador's Historic Centre

Today, you'll head out with a local guide to explore the Salvador Historic Centre and learn about its history as you stroll through its cobblestone streets. During the tour, you will learn about the rich culture of Salvador and how the community has preserved their Afro-Brazilian traditions. You'll enjoy the view of All Saint's Bay and tie a wish bracelet to the gates of the Bonfim Church from the top of the city. In the evening, head to Porto da Barra Beach to watch the sunset.

Today is a full day of immersing yourself in Afro-Brazillian culture. You'll visit a master of capoeira and maybe watch a class and learn about the story behind the sport. You'll go to São Joaquim Fair to meet the Soteropolitan people, taste spice and learn about their culture. You'll finish this wonderful guided tour in Liberdade, where many Afro-descendants live, home to the famous Afro carnival party, Ile Aie.
