Kigali City Tour & Travel to Bwindi National Park in Uganda

After breakfast, you will go on a short Kigali City Tour experience which will include a visit to Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site. This is an extremely moving, challenging, educational and ultimately inspiring memorial. The most common question that goes through your mind is “would I be capable of that level of forgiveness if I found myself in this situation?” Afterwards, you'll transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with lunch on the way at Muhabura Hotel.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

The guides will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla tracking based on their experiences. Then, you'll hike into the forest to where the gorillas were seen based on information from the advance group. The trek can take from two to six hours. The terrain is rough and is physically demanding the beauty of the forest is worth it. Once the gorillas are located, all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural experience in the world.

Return to Kigali & Departure

This morning, after breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and return to Kigali. When you arrive, you'll have your lunch at the Hotel de Mille Collins, Rwanda. Depending on your outbound flight time, your driver can take you straight to the airport or if your flight is later, you can do some souvenir shopping.
