Day 1

Boarding the Stella Australis or Ventus Australis, the crew headed by the Captain will welcome you aboard for cocktails with your cruise companions. Immediately after, the ship will depart towards the end of the world, sailing through the mythical Strait of Magellan, Patagonia Channels and around Tierra del Fuego. A great adventure begins!

Day 2

Ainsworth Bay and Tucker Islet

With the first lights of dawn, sail through the Almirantazgo Fjord until you reach Ainsworth Bay where you see the Marinelli Glacier standing 40 metres tall. Disembark to discover a beaver dam in the midst of a Magellanic forest and a colony of elephant seals. In the afternoon, you visit Tucker Islet, which houses a colony of Magellanic penguins and cormorants. The islet’s penguins migrate in April – as a replacement you visit Brookes Bay for a short walk to see a glacier.

Day 3

Pia Glacier and Glacier Alley

Sail back across the Beagle Channel to disembark at the Pia Glacier. Take a short walk to an observation point where you can see the glacier in all its glory as well as an array of icebergs. The glacier's source is in the middle of the Darwin mountains range and reaches the sea at Pia Bay. Enter the northwest extension of the Beagle Channel to experience the majestic "Glacier Alley": Spain, Romanche, Germany, Italy, France and Holland glaciers.

Day 4

Cape Horn and Wulaia Bay

Cape Horn and Wulaia Bay

Arrive at the Cape Horn National Park, a place where the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans meet. Cape Horn is a natural 425-metre-high wall that was discovered by foreigners in 1616 on a commercial expedition from the Netherlands under the command of Captain Willem Schouten. Later, disembark in Wulaia Bay; an indigenous settlement. This area is renowned for the spectacular beauty. Walk through a Magellanic forest to reach a look-out point that looks across Wulaia Bay and beyond.
