Customisable Itinerary
4.0 • (1 review)

Trip Overview

Start your 5-day eastern desert hiking trip in Cairo, the mother of the world and your gateway to sun and fun.

Next morning drive to the base camp, step out of your normal routine and continue hiking in Egypt along the ancient routes that local Bedouins have used for centuries. Sleep under the protection of a blanket of stars.

Visit Wadi Al-Hitan, famous for its hundreds of incredibly well-preserved whale fossils and finish with a visit to the serene Tunis village, located on a hill facing a saltwater lake. Established in the 1960s, the village opened a pottery studio and school where local children would learn the craft of pottery making, which still exists today.
