4.4 • 5 travellers have booked with Giulio A.

Trip Overview

Spend 5 days being charmed by Italian culture, art and heritage on this Florence to Rome tour.

Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance with immense political and economic power wielded during the rule of the Medici Dynasty. It is a place with narrow cobbled streets and elegant palazzos, medieval chapels, fresco-decorated churches, marble basilicas, world-class museums and art. The entire city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Here you find generations of Florentine fashion, goldsmiths, shoemakers and artisan scents at work. The city is surrounded by wine-rich hills and is a gourmet paradise with culinary tradition.

Rome, Italy's hot-blooded capital is an exhilarating sight of 3000-year-old ruins, awe-inspiring art and vibrant street life. Its history recalls the golden age with ancient icons such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Pantheon. The extraordinary basilicas tell of Rome's Renaissance popes ambitions as the seat of the Catholic Church.

Few cities in the world can rival Rome's astonishing artistic heritage. Stroll through the centre and see priceless treasures, ancient statues, world-class museums, Byzantine mosaics, Renaissance frescoes dazzle in churches and Baroque facades in medieval piazzas. Finish your experience in a romantic alfresco setting with a cool white wine from the nearby Castelli Romani hills.
