On this tour, you will first visit the capital city, Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nowhere on earth concentrates as much turbulent history into such a small landmass as the Maltese islands and the capital city of Valletta. This tour will take you through the bustling streets of Valletta allowing you to view the Barrakka Gardens with a breath-taking panorama of the Grand Harbour. You'll then visit the fortified city of Mdina and its narrow and winding roads and magnificent panoramas.

Today, you'll travel by car and ferry to the Mġarr harbour, which immediately sets the pace to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. Your guide will lead you around the Megalithic temples of Ggantija, the oldest free-standing monuments in the world. This will be followed by visits to the medieval citadel in Victoria, the fjord-like bay at Xlendi and Dwejra with its dramatic coastal formations. You'll be impressed by the island’s countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is.

Start the day by exploring the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta before travelling to Vittoriosa for a walking tour. You will tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings, including the first auberges of the various langues of the Order.  From here drive to Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic site, that overlooks the Mediterranean and the islet of Filfla. Time permitting you could also visit Marsaxlokk, a small picturesque village on the south east coast.
