After breakfast, you'll visit Morning Market, followed by the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of artefacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture. You'll then continue the city tour to the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham and finally, Wat Mai. You'll then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for a beautiful sunset view of the city and finish the day at the Street Night Bazaar.

After breakfast, you will drive through the Luang Prabang countryside to Kuang Si Waterfalls. Along the way by the Mekong River, you will see the gorgeous landscapes of many rice fields, hills and villages. You will visit an ethnic minority at a village where their local culture has remained unchanged for centuries. Upon reaching Kuang Si Waterfalls, you can relax and enjoy the magnificent natural surroundings. In the afternoon, you will join the local people to play a game of petanque.

For early risers, there is a very special dawn visit to watch the monks collecting the alms. As the sun begins to rise, long lines of orange-robed monks leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets collecting offerings from local residents. In the afternoon, you'll board a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives you a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of Buddha statues.
