This morning, head into Montevideo for a city tour. The main points of interest will be in the historic city centre where you will visit the Plaza de Constitucion with the cathedral and the colonial town hall. Then you will proceed to the Congress Building, Mercado Agricola Montevideo, passing by the Obelisk to Batlle and Ordoñez Park and the Centenario Soccer Stadium where the very first World Cup final was played. Afterwards, visit Pocitos Beach and take a stroll along to Ramirez Beach.

Today, you'll drive towards Piriapolis, a coastal city located 19 miles from Punta del Este. The city, built during the time of the “belle époque”, has the look of Europe’s Côte d’Azur. You'll then continue to Punta del Este. The next stops will be at Portezuelo and Punta Ballena for sweeping views up and down the coast). You'll visit the Museum Casapueblo, the home and atelier of the famous Uruguayan artist Carlos Paez Vilaro. After your tour, return to Montevideo for the evening.

Today you will enjoy a full-day excursion to Estancia Finca Piedra. This historic Estancia was once one of Uruguay's most important meat producers. You can either go for a horse ride or a carriage ride through the immediate surroundings of the Estancia. You will be introduced to the mate culture, a social tradition of the country. You can visit the animal reserve of the Estancia, enjoy the atmosphere of the Estancia and relax a little. You'll be transferred to Colonia afterwards.

Walk into the historical centre for a stroll along the picturesque cobblestone streets of Uruguay’s oldest city. One of the highlights is the Calle de Los Suspiros, often used as scenery for historical films. Colonia complements its archaeological values with natural beauty; the River Plate and the monuments that stand out on the horizon, such as the cathedral and the lighthouse. After your tour, you'll board the ferry for your next destination, Buenos Aires.
