Today your cycling in Shikoku trip begins. Early in the morning, you'll take a cruise ship to Shodoshima. Remote island scenery, azure waves, and the small villages that dot Shodoshima make for a delightful view. On Shodoshima, you will use eco-conscious rental bikes to explore the abundant olive gardens, charming suburbs, and sandy beaches while taking in the laid back local culture. For the first night, you will stay on this easy-going island.

Today, you will cruise across the blue waters of the Seto Inland Sea back to Takamatsu and then travel to coastal Naruto City. Here, you can witness the dramatic whirlpools that form as the currents from the Seto Inland Sea meet those of the Pacific. Next is the charming coastal village of Hiwasa, complete with beautiful beaches, antique townscape, smiling locals, and a towering temple overlooking the entire town. At the end of the day, you'll travel to beachside Shishikui and stay overnight.

Today, you'll start by driving to one of Japan's most beautiful natural landmarks; Nakatsu Gorge. The crystal waters attract the sun perfectly, creating an almost unworldly blue clarity as the waters drift by. You'll also experience driving through the winding mountain roads through small villages toward the Shikoku Karst. From the top, you'll have a full view of the sweeping valleys, rivers, and mountains both above and below. You'll then drive to a local village for a traditional style night.

From charmingly rural western Kochi, you will cycle along the pristine Shimanto River, Japan's longest river which is home to a rich diversity of wildlife. Afterwards, you will have the chance to cycle through sunny Futami Seaside Park as well. In addition to the sweeping sea side view and an almost Mediterranean climate, this area boasts beautiful sunsets as the sun slowly disappears beneath the azure waves. The day will end with a drive to Imabari City where you will spend the evening.

Today, your cycling in Shikoku trip comes to an end but first, you'll start by visiting Sunrise Itoyama Park, famous for its sweeping scenery which includes the many islands that dot the Seto Inland Sea. You'll climb to Kirosan Park to see the Shimanami Kaido's most stunning attraction, the Kuroshio Strait. Connected by bridges suspended above the beautiful Seto Inland, the shifting waters and emerald hilled islands are a sight to behold. After, you will be taken to the airport for departure.
