As this is a popular tourist destination and one of the most sacred sights in Indonesia, it's best to enter early before everyone arrives! Later in the day, you will visit Ulen Sentalu Museum, where you can learn about Javanese Royal families.

Today you will explore the surrounding areas with a visit to the Sultan's Palace, a central point for Javanese culture, the Taman Sari Water Castle; the former royal gardens and Prambanan Temple, one of the most significant religious sites in Indonesia, it's also the largest Hindu temple in the country, dedicated to the Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the Transformer (Shiva).

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches and coral reefs. The island is home to religious sites such as cliffside Uluwatu Temple. To the south, the beachside city of Kuta has lively bars, while Seminyak, Sanur and Nusa Dua are popular resort towns where you can try your hand at surfing, kite surfing or snorkelling. The island is also known for its yoga and meditation retreats.
