6-Day Machame Trek

Customisable Itinerary
4.6 • 4 travellers have booked with Jesse T.

Trip Overview

Machame, also named "Whiskey Route", is one of the most popular ones on Kilimanjaro. Starting in the rainforest at 1,850 metres, the trail goes through all the climate zones of Kilimanjaro, providing you with good acclimatisation due to smooth elevation gain combined with the daily changing equatorial wonderful landscapes.

This Kilimanjaro trek is recommended only to experienced climbers that have already been acclimatised before and are physically fit as it can be very physically demanding. If preferred, you have the option to spend an extra day at Karanga Camp (4,035 metres) for better acclimatisation.
