Kota Kinabalu Drive to Kampung Kiau

Depart for a two-hour drive to the Crocker Range. Enjoy scenic mountain views on your way to Kampung Kiau. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by the village homestay coordinator before being introduced to your host family. Take a walk around the village and enjoy the scenic views of the surroundings or mingle with the villagers.

Day 2
Kinabalu National Park, Poring Hot Spring & Sabah Tea Plantation

Depart for Kinabalu Park, a botanists' paradise with over a thousand species of orchids, numerous specious of Rhododendrons. After lunch, proceed to Poring Hot Springs, where you will have a chance to soak yourselves in the hot sulphuric waters renowned for its therapeutic properties. Continue your Sabah trip to go for a morning walk around the Sabah Tea Plantation, the largest tea producing factory in Sabah. Take a guided tour to discover how rainforest raw tea leaves are processed and packed for export. Check out and depart to Kinabatangan. With lunch en route, drive through the scenic countryside and local villages. We arrive at Kinabatangan River with the greatest concentration of wildlife in Borneo.

Kinabatangan River Cruise, Bilit Village & Gomantong Cave

Wake up to the sounds of Borneo as birds and most wildlife are most active just before daylight. We will take a 1½-hour boat trip in the midst of the dramatic change of colours on the horizon as the sun rises. Check-out then take a boat to Bilit Village where you'll meet the Orang Sungai Tribe and visit Gomantong Cave.

Selingan Turtle Island Free Time
Close
Transfer to the jetty for the boat departing to Turtle Island. Selingan Turtle Island is ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkelling. After dinner, we will wait for news from the Park Rangers on the sighting of any turtles that have come ashore to lay eggs. Witness the collection of eggs from the nesting site and relocating them in the hatchery for conservation purposes. If there are any hatchings at the nursery, you will get to see them being released to the open sea.

Sepilok Orangutan and Departure

This is the last day of your Sabah trip. After breakfast check-out and depart to the Sandakan Jetty for the boat. From there, transfer to Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve to visit the orangutans that have been orphaned, rescued from illegal captivity, or injured individuals. After the tour, transfer to Sandakan Airport or your hotel.
