On this tour, you will first visit the capital city, Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Nowhere on earth concentrates as much turbulent history into such a small landmass as the Maltese islands and the capital city of Valletta. This tour will take you through the bustling streets of Valletta allowing you to view the Barrakka Gardens with a breath-taking panorama of the Grand Harbour. Valletta preserves much of its 16th-century architectural heritage.

Today’s excursion takes you to the central part of Malta, dominated by the medieval fortified city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital city. You will start the tour with a photo stop outside Mosta Church, Europe’s third-largest freestanding dome. You'll then proceed to Mdina where the narrow, winding streets, dating back to medieval times. Leaving Mdina through Greeks’ Gate, time permitting, you will go to Dingli cliffs before heading back.

Today, you'll travel by car and ferry to the Mġarr harbour, which immediately sets the pace to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. Your guide will lead you around the Megalithic temples of Ggantija, the oldest free-standing monuments in the world. This will be followed by visits to the medieval citadel in Victoria, the fjord-like bay at Xlendi and Dwejra with its dramatic coastal formations. You'll be impressed by the island’s countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is.

Today, you'll journey to South Malta. You'll start the day by discovering the Grand Harbour area opposite Valletta known as the Three Cities – Vittoriosa, Cospicua and Senglea. Then, you'll reach Vittoriosa for a walking tour through the narrow streets in the shade of historic buildings. From here, you will drive to Hagar Qim, Malta’s main pre-historic site, and if time permits, you could also visit Marsaxlokk, a small picturesque village in the southeastern coast of Malta.
