This morning, you'll drive to Rio's downtown area, appreciating the city’s landmarks and some of its finest architecture on the way. From the Urca neighbourhood, you'll take two glass cable cars and appreciate the beautiful lush views surrounding the iconic Sugar Loaf Mountain. Then, you'll drive through the Tijuca forest up to the Christ the Redeemer statue. Afterwards, you'll head to the Gamboa district to immerse yourself in Rio Carnival history and for a caipirinha tasting.

Today, you'll hop in a convertible Jeep and drive along the southern beaches to Santa Teresa, a district where tradition and a relaxed atmosphere blend perfectly. You'll admire the beautiful street art, galleries, and handicraft shops. Then, you'll stop at the Selarón Steps, 215 colourful steps covered in bright ceramic mosaics. Afterwards, you'll hit the trails in the Tijuca rainforest and walk 1.2 kilometres to the beautiful Cascatinha Waterfall, keeping your eyes peeled for animals and birds.

Today, you'll make the long shared transfer to Buzios. The transfer to Buzios is shared with other travellers and can take up to five hours with stops at airports to pick up other travellers. Upon arrival, you'll check into your hotel and then have the rest of the afternoon and evening free to relax at your hotel or explore your surroundings on your own.

Today, you'll have two exciting activities. The first is a catamaran tour with multiple stops to snorkel and swim and appreciate the white sandy beaches. Then, in the afternoon, you'll head out on a trolley tour to explore Buzios and its peninsula. You'll drive along the coast and enjoy the views, feel the air on your skin, and smell the ocean. You'll stop at two different viewpoints to appreciate stunning panoramic views with the different bays and nearby islands.

Often referred to as Brazil's version of St. Tropez, Buzios is a former fisherman's village which has grown over time into Rio de Janeiro's most vibrant coastal town. Buzios incorporates three small towns and is known as its lively nightlife, 17 beautiful beaches, azure waters, narrow cobblestone streets and a picturesque waterfront. Today, you can explore the many beaches of Buzios, go on a buggy ride or perhaps head off on a boat trip to discover the further-out beaches of the Sun Coast.
