Tour the classic sights and cities of Portugal on this week-long tour with a local guide!

Beginning in Porto, the city which gave the country its name, you'll explore the city and its many landmarks, enjoy a tasting of petiscos and of course, sample some local wine! The next day will take you out of the city to explore the beautiful landscapes of the north including the cities of Guimarães and Braga!

You'll then journey to Lisbon, stopping off in Aveiro to explore the city and cruise the canal. In Lisbon, you'll spend an evening discovering the Mouraria neighbourhood and enjoying a typical Fado dinner. After a day in the city ticking off the must-see sights, you'll head away from the hustle and bustle on a tour of Sintra and Cascais before your best of Portugal experience comes to an end.

This morning, your guide will meet you for a tour of Porto city. You will visit the famous Harry Potter Bookshop, the Clérigos Tower and the Old Jewish Quarter. Then, you'll visit the Railway Station of Saint Bento, the Cathedral, the stairway of Verdades and the Ribeira quarter. At the end of the tour, in Vila Nova de Gaia, you'll enjoy some petiscos paired with wine with one of the most beautiful views of Porto. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to keep exploring the city on your own.

Besides Guimaraes and Braga, there are countryside landscapes, a wine country to explore, cultural heritage, traditions and an amazing coastline with fisherman villages found in the north. Today, your guide will pick you up from your hotel, together you will visit Guimarães, one of the oldest cities in Portugal, and Braga, including the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus. In the afternoon, on the way back to Porto, you can choose to visit either Ponte de Lima or you could add a visit to a wine estate.

In the afternoon, your driver-guide will meet you are your hotel to transfer you in a private car from Porto to Lisbon. On the way, you will make a halt in Aveiro, known as the Portuguese Venice. Here, you will visit the salines sea salt islands, cruise the canals in their traditional boats (semi-private boat) and visit the old Citadelle and taste their traditional sweets, "Ovos Moles". In the evening in Lisbon, you'll tour the Mouraria neighbourhood and enjoy a traditional Fado dinner.

This morning, your guide will take you on a private tour of Lisbon. First, you will head to Bélem to visit the Belém Tower, a 16th-century fortification that protected Lisbon from incoming raids. After visiting the Jeronimos Monastery, you'll return to Lisbon city centre to discover the beauty of Lisbon's old quarter. You will walk around one of the oldest and quaintest neighbourhoods: Alfama. To wrap up your tour, you will enjoy some local petiscos in some traditional taverns.

Today, you will enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of Lisbon. On this full-day guided tour, you will start off with a walk in Pena Park. You will see the park’s secret caves, and feel like royalty in Pena Palace. You will also make a stop in the historical centre of Sintra and continue the tour with a drive through the Sintra Mountains. You'll stop at the end of the world, the great cliffs at Roca Cape before making the last stop in the stylish town of Cascais.
