This week-long trip promises to be an incredible tour that will make the most out of your time!

From embarking on a beautiful Amazon tour to the capital of the country, Quito, you will see all the best highlights of Ecuador's mainland. The trip will begin in Quito before quickly traveling for a multi-day package at an all-inclusive lodge in the Amazon.

Then, you'll travel back to Quito to see the colonial remnants found in the Old City which prompted UNESCO to declare Quito a Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1979. Finally, you'll travel to see one of Ecuador's most emblematic symbols, the Cotopaxi Volcano.

Bienvenidos! Welcome to Ecuador. Sitting at an altitude of 2,850 metres, under the gaze of Volcan Pichincha, Quito is one of the most attractive cities in South America. You can arrive at any time as there are no activities planned for this day. Upon arrival to Quito's airport, you will be taken from the airport to your hotel so that you can acclimatize to the altitude. You'll then have the rest of the day to relax or explore the town.

This morning, you'll transfer from your hotel near the airport to take your flight to Coca. Upon arrival, you will be picked up by the lodge's English-speaking guide who will take you to the lodge. You'll first embark on a motorized canoe for two hours, before changing to a paddled canoe! This is incredible as you will not disturb the natural environment during the travels, making it incredible for wildlife viewing. After the paddled canoe, you have to walk for 5-10 minutes to get to the lodge.

The water is the thread that links each experience: you’ll become an expert at hopping in and out of the canoe and manning the oars, and you will come to love the peacefulness of paddling down streams through the virgin wilderness. Today, you'll head out with a guide to the Canopy Towers and a walk on the Liana Grande trail.

Today, you will enjoy the views of unique wildlife during this section of the Amazon tour from the canopy towers. You will wake early to get the best opportunity to see the fauna at their most active. In the afternoon after lunch, there will be time for hikes and more exploration in the jungle to search for the titi monkey. Your local guide will also teach you how to fish for the infamous razor-toothed piranha.

Early in the morning, you’ll be transferred to the airport to take a flight back to Quito, then you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Quito, the capital of Ecuador, is nestled in an Andean valley at an elevation of 9,000 feet. The city is literally surrounded by volcanoes, some of which are very much active. The historic centre of Quito is replete with narrow and winding cobblestone streets, magnificent churches and open squares and today, you'll explore them.

Cotopaxi National Park is home to Ecuador’s most captivating volcano. Towering at 5,897 metres, the giant Cotopaxi peak boasts a perfectly symmetrical snow-capped cone and picturesque surroundings abound. You will have lunch at the park's restaurant, trek up to the volcano refuge and enjoy panoramic views from the snowline (on clear days). You'll visit the Cotopaxi National Park Museum to learn about the history of the volcano, stop for photos and enjoy a short walk at the Limpiopungo Lake.
