After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for the Ethnographic Open-Air Museum of Latvia, a short drive from Riga. It provides an excellent opportunity to discover the varied styles of Latvian traditional countryside architecture as well as local crafts. You have the afternoon free, but it is recommended that you visit the Art Nouveau district of Riga and the Art Nouveau Museum.

Today you will visit three different Latvian historic monuments. The first is Bauska's Castle - a recently restored 16th-century Livonian Order castle with a small museum with a collection of period clothing, shoes and weaponry. You will then continue on to Rundale Palace with its garden, a masterpiece of the famous architect, B. Rastrelli. Finally, you will visit Mezotne Palace which is a stunning example of Latvian classic architecture and you will stay overnight in the 4-star hotel.

After breakfast, you'll begin your journey to Ventspils stopping twice along the way. The first will be at Jelgava Palace, where the Dukes of Courland once resided; you will see crypts where several generations of Dukes were laid to rest. The second stop will be the unique town of Kuldiga. When you walk through the streets, you will feel lost in time as you are surrounded by 18th and 19th-century buildings and curved streets. In the afternoon, you'll reach in Ventspils.

Today on your Latvia tour, you'll start with a morning sightseeing trip around Ventspils. You will discover this Latvian port and the historic city together with its collection of odd cow sculptures along the seafront. You will then move on, with a stop in Tukums, a small town referred to as the 'Gates to Courland'. You will explore the traditional Old Town, Durbe and the Jaunmoku Manor before finishing the day with a short journey to the Latvian Summer capital, Jurmala.

After breakfast, you'll check out of the hotel and enjoy a morning tour of Jurmala before moving on to explore Turaida Castle and Cesis town. Turaida is one of the most impressive castles in Latvia famous for its particularly great views from the tower. Cesis town has a long history that began as a 13th-century Livonian Order castle but became the strongest fortification in Livonia. After Cesis, you'll return back to the capital, Riga, where you'll stay overnight.
