An exotic fusion of Southern Mediterranean, Arabic and African influences, Morocco is an exciting country home to beautiful mountains, unique cultures and centuries-old medinas. On this week-long tour, you'll explore the best of its mountain scenery and its coastal and iconic cities!
Beginning in Marrakesh, you'll kick off your seven-day adventure with a local food tour around the medina guided by a local who knows the best spots to sample the most delicious Moroccan treats. Moving on, you'll find yourself in front of the incredible UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
You'll then venture deep into the Atlas Mountains to the Berber village of Imlil where you'll stay for two days, exploring the local villages and mountains on foot. For your final few days in Morocco, you'll venture to the coastal city of Essaouira where you can catch some waves, enjoy the beach and of course, dine on delicious seafood fresh from the harbour.

Upon arrival, your driver will collect you from Marrakesh airport and take you to your lovely riad in the heart of the Medina. After you get some rest, your guide will meet you for a special culinary adventure at 6 pm. You will go on a historical food tasting experience and learn about culinary habits, the daily life of locals, the culture and to sample Moroccan food as you go behind the scenes of the markets with a local guide who will provide an insight into Moroccan specialities.

Marrakesh to Ait Ben Haddou via Tizi n'Tichka Pass

Today, you'll say goodbye to the magical town of Marrakesh and head to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. You will arrive at the amazing Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where you will spend the night perched on a hilltop. Almost unchanged since the 11th century, Ait Ben Haddou is one of Morocco's most iconic sites. After visiting the kasbah, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a tasty meal with a local Berber family.

After breakfast, you'll put on your comfy trekking shoes and embark on a five-hour drive to a Berber village called Imlil, crossing a vibrantly green valley. You will embark on a guided trek around the village of Imlil. You'll then explore the valley and get to know the traditions of a typical Berber village and enjoy tea and lunch. Later, you'll arrive at the stunning village of Ouirgane where you will spend the night and enjoy dinner.

Free Day around Morocco's Mountains

Nestled in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, the small Berber village of Imlil sits 1,800 metres above sea level. As the Atlas Mountains are extremely popular with hikers and trekkers, Imlil has become somewhat of a hitching post, just a five-hour hike from the base of Jebel Toubkal, the tallest mountain in Morocco. During your free time in Imlil, you can get to know the locals, sample some delicious Berber dishes and of course, go trekking in the surrounding mountains!

Journey to the Coastal City of Essaouira & Wine Tasting Tour

Early in the morning, you might want to have a small walk around the Ouirgane village to enjoy the great view over the lake before bidding farewell to the mountains and heading to the charming coastal city and a gem in the Atlantic, Essaouira. Upon arrival, you'll visit a 52-hectare vineyard where many varieties grow. You will get to taste three types of wine and enjoy a local lunch before checking into your riad in Essaouira and enjoying the rest of the day free.

Day 6
Explore Essaouira with a Local Guide

This morning, your guide will take you for walking tour of the medina where you will visit the souks, the Squala Tower and the port filled with colourful boats which go out early every morning for the day's catch. You'll see camels and surfers sharing the beach and afterwards, you'll head to the port watch fisherman selling their catch of the day. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to just sit back relax, enjoy the view and some drinks on your last night.
