Journey to Martinborough via Cape Palliser Lighthouse

This morning, you'll drive the coast road to Cape Palliser, where you can climb a lighthouse, watch a seal colony and enjoy the non-stop views. The road to Cape Palliser is dramatically scenic and this region has a rich history of early Maori occupation; heritage sites are part of the fascinating landscape. After climbing up to the lighthouse, you'll continue to Martinborough where you'll stay for the next two nights. Packed with colonial charm, Martinborough features over 20 wineries!

Today, you'll get on a bike and ride around the vines in Martinborough. Martinborough boasts quiet, wide streets with some of the best Pinot New Zealand offers. You’ll hear a brief history of Martinborough township and its vineyards and wine-making. You’ll visit a number of vineyards and taste a selection of Martinborough’s best wines along with your choice of other tasting options such as cheese, chocolate, olive oil, gin, beer and a barrel tasting.

Travel to Hawke's Bay via Greytown & Juliet Harbutt Cheese and Wine Experience

En route to Hawke's Bay, you'll stop in the historic town fo Greytown. Home to excellent examples of Victorian colonial architecture, Greytown is New Zealand's most complete street of wooden Victorian buildings. Moving on, you'll enter the wonderful Hawke's Bay region known for its produce and Hawke's Bay wineries. You'll head to the winery and home of Juliet Harbutt, a world expert and international cheese judge, for an unmissable, unique gastronomic experience. You'll then continue to Napier.
