Beginning in Perth, you'll have the day to familiarise yourself with the city as well as a whole day dedicated to exploring the stunning pocket of paradise just offshore - Rottnest Island. Beginning your self-drive journey, your first destination will be Margaret River via the charming towns and city of Mandurah, Preston Beach, Bunbury and Busselton. Day Trip to Rottnest Island from Perth

Today, you'll take advantage of your round trip ferry tickets to Rottnest Island spend the day on this pocket of paradise, most notably home to the adorable Quokka. During your 1.5-hour cruise along the Swan River, you'll listen to informative Captain's commentary and relax whilst enjoying the scenic views. Scenic Journey from Perth to Margaret River via Mandurah and Busselton

Today, you'll self-drive from Perth to Margaret with a number of notable stops along the way! The first stop is Mandurah, Western Australia's second city home to an abundance of wildlife including dolphins and migratory birdlife. After a short stop in the coastal town of Preston Beach, you can continue to Bunbury to spot the pods of bottlenose dolphins in the inlet. Finally, before reaching Margaret River, a stop in Busselton to take a stroll along the 1.8-kilometre jetty is a must.

Here, you can get lost in the verdant nature of Pemberton on hiking trails, bush walks, in canoes out on lakes and down white sand dunes in Yeagarup.
