Throughout this tour in Fort Dauphin, also known as the city at the end of the world, you will enjoy an exceptional change of scenery. It is one the most famous places to see lemurs especially the dancing lemur (Verreaux’s Sifaka).

Upon arrival in Fort Dauphin, also known as the city at the end of the world, you'll meet your driver and personal guide who will accompany you during your whole stay. Then, you'll hit the road towards Mandrare, a four-hour drive. The camp is named after the river which is the largest in the southern part of Madagascar, and located in the northwest of Fort Dauphin. The rest of the day will be free, with possible activities.

Today, the day is dedicated to the exploration into the beautiful wilderness of the Mandrare Forest. You'll visit the sisal plantation and learn about the process behind creating this super-strong fibre. Then, you'll head to the avenue of the baobabs in Mandrare to catch a sunset with a beverage of your choice in hand before returning to your camp for dinner.

Today is another amazing day dedicated to the exploration into the beautiful wild. Today, you're off into the sacred forest to see what you can see. This area has the highest concentration of lemurs on the island, you'll get up close and friendly with these curious creatures. The forest is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, such as the sifakas, ringtails, grey mouse, grey-brown mouse and nocturnal lemurs that inhabit the forest and are often visible in the daytime.

Today, you'll head back down the road to Fort Dauphin and then continue to Manafiafy, also known as Saint Luce, which is located northeast of Fort Dauphin. You'll have the afternoon to do some swimming or snorkelling in the beautiful bay before getting ready for a walk around the forest as the sun sets when the animals come to play. In the evening, you'll have dinner at the lodge.

Today is a day to enjoy the dazzling surroundings. With blue seas, lush rainforests, abundant wildlife, no matter how you wish to pass the time, you're in paradise. You'll start the day with a daytime walk into the rainforest discovering the abundant wildlife. Paddling through the calm waters in their dugout canoe, the slow and unchanging life of the fisherman's village then invites you to embrace the simple things in life. You'll finish the day with a mangrove tour, spotting bird species.

Today is also a day at leisure, with the option of doing a whale watching tour out in the oceans blue. These magnificent creatures come to the waters of Madagascar during their breeding season between May and December. You can witness the awesome spectacle of humpback whales breaching the surface of the water and powering themselves into the sky. You'll also have the option to spend some time on the Malagasy Islands before returning to your lodge.
